Well, I don't watch Irate Gamer at all, but I did see his review of SMB2 and strongly disagreed with it despite how interesting the story of that game being a ripoff of another game is.
And hearing these jokes on here, wow, I can already tell he is definitely no AVGN. Those NC responses you edited in there was quite a nice touch by the way.
The only people who actually think Chris is good at writing are 12 year old kids and 4Kids, which I'm sure would love to have Chris on board for writing shows.

@TheBestKindOfFailure I think NC's flaws are starting to ruin his videos. He spends almost all of his reviews shouting and making jokes and skits that have nothing to do with the film and comes off as filler.
And the Angry Video Game Nerd, who fills 90% of a game review with "battling" a guy in a lame Bugs Bunny costume, is any better? James is the king of filler, and yet most prefer him over Doug. Which I don't understand.
Doug is Doug; he was never any different, so why are people claiming he has changed. It's all in your head.
@TheBestKindOfFailure Because AVGN was never really about reviews but about bashing stupid and bad games. And there's only so much you can do besides just sit and play the game. You have to make it at least a little more entertaining. We all know that the games he plays are bad so there's nothing new there for each review, but if you check out reviews of good games (i.e. the castlewenia series) you'll see no filler AT ALL. That's because it's a different take on a review.
Why would someone make a review 5 minutes longer by just adding unfunny bullshit that does nothing for the review itself. He's supposed to be an angry video game nerd, while he can't even perform the emotion "anger" without looking terribly scripted. And when he does "normal" reviews, you'll only end up thinking: "This is the ANGRY Video Game Nerd, right?"
What I'm trying to say is that anger itself, just complete frustration, is funny enough. He doesn't need anything but himself.

And honestly I just took a look at A LOT of his reviews last night after reading your comment and the only ones that really do have THAT much filler are the bugs bunny ones. By having a 20-30 minute review and 3-5 minutes of amusement rather than review does not qualify as filler to me.

I watched some of irate gamer's videos, I just wanted to give him a chance... but he's not funny at all, I just cannot laugh. His reviews are not that bad actually, but could be much better without the "comedy", it's just a waste of time.

Has anyone ever heard a four year old make up a joke? You know how it starts with potential but then they make up a random punchline? Like "knock knock, who's there?fish, fish who? Bed roll. " Irate Gamer reminds me of that... He has potential but he just doesn't deliver. Who ever plays IG isn't a bad person and he shouldn't be hated... But he's definitely not funny. Not saying I can do better, but there is so much better and funnier videos to watch on YouTube than his.
Nostalgia Critic is painfully unfunny. Screaming at a pitch that could deafen a dolphin about a decent movie that he deems to be shit for inexplicable reasons doesn't count as a good joke to me. The Bores on the other hand, is really just corny... some people like corny jokes.

@sobeAdam He gives reasons why the movies suck. The plot, camera angles or overall delivery of the movie is always discussed then he talks about how retarded the movie is. AVGN does the same thing with video games but doesn't yell as loud as doug. They're both funny in my opinion. Chris Bores sucks at reviewing games and telling jokes so therefore he just sucks.

I was merely stating my opinion of how easily Nostalgia Critics "jokes" can be summed up, as well as stating my opinion that I feel he lacks in the humor department.
@sobeAdam He does scream a lot and out burst ect. But he still manages to include references or funny jokes. He also out burst like avgn does except avgn just yells and that's it.
@arexyouxepicxenough Most of the time though, he just spends the entire time screaming about a minor detail. Sure, he used to give full detailed reviews about why certain movies are bad, but his quality has declined, by far. That said, as far as AVGN goes, he has tons of things I dislike about his reviews (my biggest issue being his 2 minute rants about what he'd do with animal shit as opposed to playing whatever game he's reviewing). However, his issues are fewer and far between...
@arexyouxepicxenough ...not counting his recent episodes, which, other than the 102nd episode and Star Wars, have sucked as of late, but as a whole, it makes him less annoying to watch. Not to mention, he doesn't scream at pitches high enough to deafen a dolphin. Irate Gamer at least has the courtesy to not make my ears bleed while I cringe at his poor attempts at comedy. I don't dislike Bores because he ripped off James Rolfe's shtick, (at least not any more). What I have a problem with is that he is not funny or informative in any legitimate sense. He does not know anything about acting, writing, humour or adequate research and he has not improved since he first appeared on YouTube. I could count his redeemable qualities on a single digit. Has anyone ever heard a four year old make up a joke? You know how it starts with potential but then they make up a random punchline? Like "knock knock, who's there?fish, fish who? Bed roll. " Irate Gamer reminds me of that... He has potential but he just doesn't deliver. Who ever plays IG isn't a bad person and he shouldn't be hated... But he's definitely not funny. Not saying I can do better, but there is so much better and funnier videos to watch on YouTube than his.

Nostalgia Critic is painfully unfunny. Screaming at a pitch that could deafen a dolphin about a decent movie that he deems to be shit for inexplicable reasons doesn't count as a good joke to me. The Bores on the other hand, is really just corny... some people like corny jokes.

@sobeAdam He gives reasons why the movies suck. The plot, camera angles or overall delivery of the movie is always discussed then he talks about how retarded the movie is. AVGN does the same thing with video games but doesn't yell as loud as doug. They're both funny in my opinion. Chris Bores sucks at reviewing games and telling jokes so therefore he just sucks.

Sure, he used to give full detailed reviews about why certain movies are bad, but his quality has declined, by far. That said, as far as AVGN goes, he has tons of things I dislike about his reviews (my biggest issue being his 2 minute rants about what he'd do with animal shit as opposed to playing whatever game he's reviewing). However, his issues are fewer and far between...

@arexyouxepicxenough ...not counting his recent episodes, which, other than the 102nd episode and Star Wars, have sucked as of late, but as a whole, it makes him less annoying to watch. Not to mention, he doesn't scream at pitches high enough to deafen a dolphin. Irate Gamer at least has the courtesy to not make my ears bleed while I cringe at his poor attempts at comedy. That said... people need to lay off him... and why do people get mad at his fans for being his fans?

Overeacting to bullshit is what he is good at. He can be funny. Chris Bores right down to his facial expressions copies avgn and the jokes he that he doesn't rip off suck. Nostaglia critc is like if avgn could review movies while staying in character.

I don't dislike Bores because he ripped off James Rolfe's shtick, (at least not any more). What I have a problem with is that he is not funny or informative in any legitimate sense. He does not know anything about acting, writing, humour or adequate research and he has not improved since he first appeared on YouTube. I could count his redeemable qualities on a single digit.
