Both great singers in there own right..except in the 1950'-1970's White America would Not except Blacks singing Rock,Heavy rock or Metal. That format was dominated by White males. I love Rock music..it's all about the Guitar,drumming and the Lead singer. Thank god she made a come back in the 1980's in the USA and America opened their arms. I'm not gonna say that Aretha is in anyway a worse singer than Tina, because Aretha is awesome as well, but what happened to Tina when she was married to Ike just makes a lot of what she sings have such a deeper meaning to them than just singing the songs kind of... I am not the biggest fan of most of Tina Turner's singing when she was singing with Ike, but this is because most of it sounds strained and a little bit like screaming - something Ike forced her to do....
