  • I like the way the Cybermen are used in this story, I have learnt that Tom Baker's doctor should have stolen the teleportation device from the Master to escape from the Cybermen and head to the capitol. But since Tom Baker decided he did not want to do the 5 Doctors and therefore did'nt appear which was a shame but he made the choice. I also think the transmat beam effects are, similar to those in Blake's 7 in the ship Scorpio's teleport system.Blake's 7 was excellent in may ways, a shame to end

  • When you're a kid you don't notice the difference, but when you get older, you're like, omigod, these are horrible, like the 60s Batman! And didn't I see Davison's outfit in a gay pride parade, once? Is it creepy to co-opt a kids show to do a gay sci-fi program?

  • That should've been Tom Baker at the capitol, instead of Peter Davison. If only Tom Baker had reconsidered his regrets now. tsk tsk.

  • Ahhh, the Monas Cybermen. Good ol' days before RTD screwed them up.

  • I love how all the Cyberman look round. It's like 'Ah maybe he'll just appear behind us or something'

  • Out of interest, which episode is this from?

  • @Ereldor its called the five doctors

  • @Sepiganon456 OK thanks

  • 0:56

    And cue Random Padding...

  • Lovely!!! What did you use? Sony Vegas? After effects

  • it was a warning shot and the master got hurt because a rock hit his head !

  • The explosion's still too far away from the Master.

  • That may have been the intention. As in a warning shot

  • Why does he drop dead (apparently) then? Doesn't make much sense.

  • Susan alwyas sprains her ankle. 1st The Dalek Invasion Of Earth and now this, and a few other times she did so.

  • The one thing that i remember most from the Five Doctors story is "no not the mind probe!"

  • Nice transporter effect, very Star Trek-like. :)

  • can someone explain to me how the five doctor all ended up in the same timeline?

  • They were all taken out time by a renegade using something called a Time Scoop

  • the president used ancient time lord tech called the time scoop.

  • That was a nice memory, I really liked Doctor 4

  • That was Doctor 5

  • wow brilliant!!! i dont know why the bbc did not put more financial investments into their sci fi shows like doctor who and blake 7 its not like they didnt have the money to do so.

  • actually its not money its tech. all the guys from the old series say it. they wish they had better tech to do what they wanted

  • thats rubbish! the eighties had access to a limited number of computer generated sfx effects but, they still could have used them for the show along with the proper camera angling like they used for the space station at the beginning of trial of a timelord. all they needed to do was have the time and extra creativity put into the show to have the effects they wanted.

  • That Trial effect cost like £8,000. That's like half their entire budget for the season !

  • really good !

  • Susan and that paper-thin ankle of her's again. tsk tsk tsk

  • Who's the guy in black?

  • The Master. Complete with rubbish beard, but no wife.

  • the masters beard looked great, and is way better than jon simm's version of the master

  • Yeah the new Master sucks. The old one with a goatee looked more evil...like the Devil :)

  • prick

  • @redverskyle Hehehehehe ha ha ha ha ha! that's pretty funny! on the 2007 christmas special... hahahahahahahhaa

  • times change u must be yopung mate

  • actually JerseyGirl823 Christopher Eccleston didn't fight the cybermen...so there

  • Also...these are REAL cybermen.

Descended from those from Mondas and/or Telos.

Not the bollocky rubbish ones from a parallel Earth.

The new ones wear flared trousers for fuck's sake!

  • i think the cybermen should wear the helmets they have now (video wise) maybe make their suits a bit more metlic and free to move around in and give them really good weps and the animimation shud do the rest :)

  • Yes, these are the REAL cyber men, and if you watch my video you will hear my tell a new cyberman that I like his flares, he looks down.

  • good man !

  • Christopher Ecliston didnt have cybermen

  • Hey it's a shame that you couldn't incorporate a trap to break Susan's ankle in a nasty compound fracture, rather than having her stumbling in a pointless and unconvincing fashion that adds nothing to the narrative.

    Ha Ha!

  • I'm not up with EVERYTHING 'classic Dr. Who' - Susan came back!?!

  • Oh it's from The Five Doctors.

  • i got the dvd of this some parts of the film were careless like one bit were the cybermen are talking about killing the master they were standing right next to him they might as well have said it to his face. still good film though

  • I noticed that! Either a) the Master's a tad death, or b) he DOES hear but he thinks of how to destroy the Cybermen in time before they reach the tower.

  • "Sorry, must dash". Love it!

  • i hate the way she like literrally only touches the rock and she like breaks her whole foot

  • welcome to the world of movie/television show excuses

  • Te hee

  • That's Terry Nation for you...

  • moron terry nation did the original dalek stories and helped with the others up to genesis. you may be thinking of terrance dicks and he was a fantastic writer who steven moffat wants to write a story for his dr

  • Sure, call me a moron while I'm fairly certain Terrance Dicks himself said in the commentary for this story that is what he calls a Terry Nation fall, whereupon a character is incapacitated in such a manner for no story value whatsoever, and recovers fairly quicklly.

Thanks for doing your research and coming back to get me a year after I said that. Though I am glad, I admit, to hear that Moffat wants him to write one. The show could use that.

  • @AntoineDCoolette Not only could the show use that, but it's also in desperate need of an actual good writer. Not one that has to do three seperate love stories in 45 minutes or when writing for an episode featuring a monster design by a child to have the characters in it talk about blowjobs.

  • @Redhellmet I'll bet returning to at least the 2x45 if not the 4x25 format would help immensely. Instead of the Doctor swooping in with his magic sonic plot device, he'll have to earn his amazing and impossible victories again, over several weeks.

  • @AntoineDCoolette yeah, I thought they might change at least something, now that they have another guy in charge, but it seems no matter who's in charge the new series is crap. I think Steven Moffat is going to be worse than RTD. Anyway, watch my five Doctors new effects vid!

  • A pity they cut out the scene where we find out she was actually bitten by a vicious Gallifreyan hedgehog.

  • i like the transmat effect.

just for un you should have something utterly ridiculous happen to susan's ankle

  • i watched this film the other day its good

  • That's brilliant! Anyway, it's just like Susan to hurt herself!

  • That was a nice memory, I really liked Doctor 4, but then fell in love with Doctor 5. Now history repeats itself, I really liked Doctor 9 and fell in love with Doctor 10.

  • Paul "No, not the Mind...Probe" Jerricho as the Castellan.

  • I've met Peter Davison

  • i have the first draft of the Doctor Dances signed by Steven Moffat [His parents live across the road from me!] lol

  • cool. "can you wok"? LOL No but i Can Walk stupid lady

  • VERY nice!! Did you make the Council Room look darker, right before he transmatted in??

  • love the transmat effect it rocks this should have been on the dvd WELL DONE

    brillant,superb etc etc

  • Nice! They've already done a "special edition.." I guess yours would be the "extra-special edition."

  • what program did u use

  • Brilliant improvements! Now, if you can only add some life to that grotesque brown celery, it would be perfik! ;-)

  • Couldn't the cybermen shoot Susan in the ankle?

  • Superb!! Better than the effects they added on the DVD release!!

The teleport looked similar to the one from Blakes 7 (when they used Scorpio).

  • Cyberbrilliant!

  • good miss cyberman

  • When the doctor teleported to the other side for a second he looks like he's got a long blond wig on ...cool vid and effects

  • How about doing some CGI so it looks like susan isn't a spaz when she falls over

  • Excellent fire - I think the Doc vanishing effect is a bit over the top though as I always quite liked the fact that they just lit him with a red light on location. How about adding some white gore to the Raston Robot/Cybermen encounter.

  • Cool job! (I always liked how there's really nothing for Susan to do, so she has to twist her ankle and sit the rest of the episode out in the TARDIS)

  • very nice, they need to offer more episodes like these.. emulate the Star Trek Enhanced!

  • f-ing excellent.. BBC sign this guy up!

  • well done :)
