Thank you Dante. Just a spontaneous jam and kinda sloppy - but fun to do. Dean was nice enough to send me the tune minus the drum track. Hey, no giving up! Your stuff is great my friend! Thanks again.
Thanks Tim. I'm glad Dean wrote this cool tune. Hat was in the wash, but I couldn't wait. Had the need to jam. The old hat will be back in the next one - :o) lmao... Take care.
Hi Kim - Long time no type! Thank you. Dean did great job coming up with this tune.
You have good eyes. That's a 13" Hart chrome snare, The heads are two-ply mesh, but a little different from the Roland mesh heads. I like the sensitivity of this drum.
Great drumming job, Steve! (Also great music Dean!) I really love the directly overhead camera view too. We can see every limb in action playing every part at once. GREAT perspective. I wish I had the clearance to do that. 5 stars.
Thanks Eric. Yea I like the groove in this tune. There's million ways to play it. This is just what happened when I forced myself to improv in one sitting. Big thanks go to Dean for writing it and posting it without drums. Good fun!
Ha! Wicked steve, u got all those quarter note triplet accents aswell, took me a few takes cause I kept missing them, loved the video too, how u filled in the space at the start, excellent. If u feel inclined, there's a few more playalongs next to my vids, I think we'd all like to post well known covers, but unfortunately copyright infringements are getting less relaxed : )Dean
Thank you! Hey with composers like you, who needs WMG? :) This is a super tune with a great groove. My triplets were close, but after I listened back, I realized I missed much of that cool 8th note syncopation in your bass line. Anyway, I stuck to one sitting and it was fun.
Yea, I put in some filler at the start cause I couldn't figure out how to pull in portions of your vid. Anyways, I'll check out your other playalongs. Thanks for posting them! - Steve

Nice!! Great song!
You are really good Steve & I always love the sound of your kits!
I noticed you are not using a Roland mesh head on your snare ...what are you using instead?
Thanks,
Kim :)

Thanks for letting me know about the snare.
I just checked it out on Hart Dynamics website. Very nice! Maybe one day I will get a more acoustic looking snare.
Thanks for the info :)
Take care Steve
