no it's normal. It's for if you would escape to the other Wolf.... wait.... aaaaaa you talk about the attack? Oh yes, it's normal too because you can do that but if there was an ennemy, Midna lock ennemies and you can attack. And in this place it's not necessary. Sorry for my bad english cause i'm french. ^^'

they created a gamecube version because that was when wii first came out so they made it for people who couldn't afford the wii at the moment and it wouldn't sell as good if it was only for wii
Actually, they made (started) the Gamecube version first. Later on, they decided they wanted it as a Wii launch title..blahblahblah. Nintendo isn't that nice.
no they created the gamecube version first the game was meant to be gamecube only but then the wii game out so they transferred it to wii aswell thats why they say the next game will be wii only this time =]
The last howling stone is in the Hidden Village, behind the building on the right (left on the Gamecube version). The wolf will appear in front of Hyrule Castle, ready to teach you the Great Spin attack.
Actually- if you watch Link's shadow while in Wolf form outside the Twilight, Midna appears on his back- she's always there, but like Light beings become invisible in Twilight, so do Twilight beings become invisible in the Light. She's there- you just can't see her. :P
I don't think this is a glitch I think

It's not a glitch because you can leave the area if you don't want to summon the wolf, so you can still move and do things.
PS: This only occurs while you're summoning, probably this can happen if you summon in twilight, light, or both..

This was at the Snowpeak howling stone mate. So, yes, before Link howled to the stone, Midna was on his back.
