I remember those days, the best years of my life. Had this on casette, along with a thousand other great albums. I miss the music, partying, and cruising.

Dam ITS BEEN a HUNDRED YRS!! my brother had this on cassette back in the day Good Times he would go to work & i would go thru his tapes & play the shit outta of em on his stereo & when he got home he had noticed that i didnt put a cpl of em back in there places & the fight was on :) Good Times...Luv ya Scott my brother for introducin me to all the GREAT MUSIC that was the 80s hairbands!!
it's a shame bands like this could not have been more successful, the flood of bands in the mid to late 80's was crazy, so many bands like the stage dolls kinda came and went...and then...grunge....but, luckily it has died off and hopefully this music can make a comeback!!
@halovandal1 : it probably won't make a comeback due to the fact that most people's taste for music runs to whatever gets thrown at them by record companies...in other words, musical taste by the masses is determined by what "season" you're in. This stuff had its season and if you ask "grungers", it was too long of one.
Personally, I stopped listening to most rock music after 1992 for various reasons, one of which was the fact that bands like Nirvana were sloppy and depressing.
@BoosterTerrick1 - Exactly!!!! Music is very watered down now to the point where people don't bother to dig deeper to find the real treasures. And when Rihanna was coming out on stage dressed in skimpy leather singing a song called "rockstar 101"... kinda got me thinking... this just sums it all up... half the 'artists' now don't have a clue about music. All they have to do is sing and take their clothes off for a paycheck, people buy it... why? Because they're suckers for the media. Sadly.
Stage Dolls were great. They just had the misfortune to hhave their music come out at the end of the '80s, right before the grunge scene took off. Great song, from a good record.
I remember when I was DJing at a Top 40m station in Terre Haute, IN when this came out...was right at the end of tht era's music though so these guys onlyn lasted on the playlist for a couple months....but then that was lucky anyway as Mariah, Madonna, Paula Abdul, Color Me Badd, etc was getting all the plays anyway.
I remember when I was DJing at a Top 40m station in Terre Haute, IN when this came out...was right at the end of tht era's music though so these guys onlyn lasted on the playlist for a couple months....but then that was lucky anyway as Mariah, Madonna, Paula Abdul, Color Me Badd, etc was getting all the plays anyway.

i remember listining this song on my walkman on a greyhound bus..just graduated from boot camp and coming home before i went to panama in 89.dam..miss those days
holy shit i haven't heard this song since the late 80's, essentially I forgot all about it util i stumbled upon this video tonight. despite how long I still remembered the lyrics! fucking awsome song and band!
Awesome song and video. For those who love this here are some other bands you might like as well; BABYLON A.D., LEATHERWOLF, SHARK ISLAND, VICTORY, and SOUTHGANG.
do you know how long I have been looking for this song knowing only the name of the song but not the band ... and the whole album is great .. this song marked my last hard rock song ever that year ... what a memory !!
Whenever I put on either (did they do nymore?!?! - will WIKI it) the album is finished in what seems like seconds....so much fun! One of my fav albums.
heck yeah, i miss these days. if you find a traveling maching or rig up a delorean, (we gotta remember it's 1.22 Gigawatts though) let me know, let's travel back and rock with the Stage Dolls... i'd also like to figure out that rubic's cube dealy too... i figure chicks dig a guy who can do more than one side of that thing...
Hell yeah man! I miss'em. Being a teenager was safe. Now I've got a high school graduate, damn! Am I that old already! I still have long hair, never cut it, NEVER I TELL YOU! lol
@evnstar I do! Cruising in my '79 RS Camaro with my girlfriend at the time and drinking it up. Great times great memories. Today's music ain't got the same soul except for a very few. Women in those days were HOT unlike the sleaze today. Aloha!

Valentine were/are fantastic (they played the Firefest festival over here in the UK last year). Actually, they technically released TWO albums... the first one you mentioned which is a CLASSIC and then they released a second but under the name Open Skyz (can't remember why they changed their name)!
This version of the song is a bit different to the one I have on my lp. Sounds like there is a bit more keyboard in the mix here. Anyone else noticed this?

Man, I remember these guys. Norwegian metal band, very rare. Are these guys still around? Maybe in Norway? Great song to drive home late at night wondering why a date went wrong. lol :)
Yeah. Here in Norway they're playing at all the consert over the country. I were so lucky to play guitar with Torstein Flakne at my birthday. He's my uncle btw.
Saw these guys open for Blue Murder back in like ...89 ish? Maybe 90? They were pretty good live. Lost the tape (remember tapes?) a while back. I remember the entire tape being very good. Ah memories!
Yeah that's the band that were supporting Mr Big in the early '90's at a gig in Digbeth Birmingham UK - I just couldn't remember till now, thanks for this and nice tune!
Wooooow, Stage Dolls opened for Mr Big?!? :D Mr Big are one of my favourite bands, and SD's guitarist lives 30 meters away from me. Small world indeed! xD Thanks for this cool info man :D
STAGE DOLLS - what a wonderful time that video reminds me......many thanx for uploading it. Greetings from the drummer of BADHOVEN - thank you soo much!!!!!
Holy shit I did too, I was looking for Vixen & came across this. Never got this album & I regret never getting it. Thank you to who ever put this up. I'm mostly into the new stuff now , like Slipknot & Mudvayne for examples but I still really miss, respect,& appreciate my roots. I don't have enough of it in my collcetion anymore.
wonderful band and so underrated as is Gotthard..and i am from Scotland, with the greatest vocal singers ever like Frankie Miller,Jimmy Dewar,Rod Stewart,Dan McCafferty and Stevie Nimmo... Love the stage dolls

I saw Stage Dolls perform in Toronto (Rock 'N' Roll Heaven) supporting the record. Opening for ... Blue Murder. It was fantastic.

Saw these guys open for Blue Murder back in like ...89 ish? Maybe 90? They were pretty good live. Lost the tape (remember tapes?) a while back. I remember the entire tape being very good. Ah memories!
