  • that is small fish

  • my golfish live longer thn tht

  • I was dissappionted during the oddly placed cartoon portion that the goldfish didn't throw a hadoken.

  • Did you notice how small the 44 year old goldfish was in a 10 gallon tank? The size of their habitat will determine how large they will actually get.

  • my gold fish lived for 6 years just died today

  • @troytruehero sad to hear :(

  • Comes with worlds oldest hag and creepy man FREE

  • What the fuck? D:< The audio translator makes no sense. o.o

  • lmfao the captions from japanese audio to english are HILARIOUS

'THE TWO WERE MARRIED FOR 45 YEARS, A YEAR LATER I WENT TO COOK THEM'

  • Proof of that goldfish's age: he's turning grey. :o

(my old principal in high school had a 36 year old fancy goldfish and it was turning grey from age just like people's hair will later in life!)

  • he's not gold anymore

  • @akosimj02

    Goldfish change colors overtime.

  • How the fuck has he lived without air for 43 years...

  • @braska19 Probably the plants made the air enough for this fish.

  • @braska19

yeah theres no evidence of age of a goldfish

  • @braska19 will, it doesn't take air, it takes oxygen for starters. And looks like theres live plants, which means....plants make oxygen!

  • @braska19

What the fuck do you mean without air?

  • @braska19 theres oxygen in the water

  • @braska19 i didnt know fish breath air....you jelly you cant keep your fish alive for 44 years bro???

  • Pmsl the subtitles....

  • Lol it has popeye -_-

  • wow

  • well he doesnt even know it was for 43 years becuse he only has like 10 second memory!

  • @briansf999 goldfish have a memory span over over three months at least. 3-10 seconds....this is a common misconception. Goldfish recognise their owners voices and faces, and will react to these.

I have goldfish of my own and I can totally confirm it :) they're really quite lovely creatures.

  • Shortly after this video was filmed, the fish was turned into Sushi to feed a small town in Japan....... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sushi!

  • They make a GREAT couple! that´s why the fish lived that longer, the "old" man & the lady next door in pink-black, the yare the secret of success, they should live toghether... and adopt a child!!!!!!

  • its odd watching a japanese show with subtitle voices for the white people talking

  • I got mine up to 14 yrls before it died

  • the title makes no sense. the longest goldfish alive? i thought it was going to be a five foot long fish or something. they should have put the longest living goldfish

  • i think it's name is tish or something

  • Holy shit, I skipped ahead to see the fish, and I end up at 2:23

  • hax

  • Challenge accepted.

  • Bullshit it is 44 years! That thing is way too smalllll

  • i rather call that a white fish

  • if he's still alive today that fish is 50 YEARS OLD!!!!

  • i wonder if hes still alive...

  • @jose101101 he died a few years back I remember it on BBC news!

  • these two guys must have alot incommon fish might be older than that man

  • can some one tell me plz is it alright to keep my two orandas in a 10 gallon tank other people say its alright someone tell the truth

  • The goldfish will out live them. It's his 50th birthday this year. :D

  • Ok ummm what is all this talk about goldfish getting up to like a foot and stuff?!? They have regular like house goldfish at every pet store. I'm not sure what type of goldfish you are talking about but u don't need to criticize that much....

  • @FrogzzLuveerrr actually most goldfish grow 8in' or more.people disagree with this is because of stunted growth by under feeding ,poor water conditions ,and such. Doesnt mean they wont be smaller than that but tech. in good condition goldfish will grow to be 8in or a foot and thats most to all goldfish breeds.Petstores post small care fish that dont need alot of room but they actually need around 10 gallon min. tank requirement for there growth and they are one of the higher waste depositer fish

  • Konichiwah BITCHES!!

  • this goldfish is older than me

  • people need to shut the f up, they are obviously doing something right! That goldfish is 43 fn years old! If it was living in bad conditions then it'd be dead.

  • @best496 it should be hard to have an animal 9 years and die I know from when my dog died we hade him from when I was 4 years old or 3 im 14 naw he was a French bulldog named Zarix he was amazing almost all my school knew him we hade a football team with his photograph and the football team name was Zarix until wine day I came home and I learn that are stupid little dog that I loved was leaving his last moments

  • @12Achilleas You "loved" him yet you call him stupid? Let me guess.. you're American aren't you?

  • @iTheGeek What an ignorant person you are with you're stereotyping.

  • That goldfish is not THAT long. its only about two inches!

  • that fish is older than that dude

  • Such a TINY tank for a big fish!

  • bullshit

  • my goldfish died today at 9 years old

  • i agree that tank is way to small for that fish. whats wrong with these twpo stupid old gits.

  • @dave18681 Thats why the fish is 43+ years right must be too small for it

  • My gran had a fish that my mum got when she was twelve i killed it when i was two.

    .-. By accident of course.

  • That goldfish is older than my mom...... wow

  • Shame its such a shit tank

  • @TheToastPeople

The fish wouldn't live that long if it was such a crappy tank

  • very small tank.. unhappy goldie...

  • Ha, haha.. What?

  • After 2 years a goldfish should be over 10" long. This animal has stunted growth due to ammonia poisoning.

  • @ProfStuartHalliday Most likely nitrate poisoning. Nitrates are typically harmless in small doses but in that tank I bet they're through the ceiling. You won't really find ammonia in established tanks with filtration.

  • que?

  • I would've been more impressed if it was a Snakehead, Pleco, or Jack Dempsey

  • you know whats wiered (sorry about spelling) my gold fish has lived to 6 years and still going strong

  • I would expect it to be in a proper size aquarium O.O

  • Well, to everyone that thought goldfish required bigger tanks it looks like this one has been in a 10gal all this time :P

  • I had a cheap fair gold fish and it lived upto 5 years

cause of death it got stabed by one of the decorations

  • its like so nasty looking...it looks like a regular senior citizen

  • it's older than both of my parents!

  • thats a small fish

  • dude it look like mine

  • madebyfox... Do u check this video's comments weekly to yell at people? Get a life jackass. And yes, you're wrong.

  • lol its 2011 is that fish is still alive it would be 51 years WTF!!

  • Lol MadeByFox is an idiot. The insides of the fish still grow but the outside doesn't. @MadeByFox if you still believe stunting growth is the same as growing to the size of the tank then all of the fish you raise wouldn't live a year.

  • iv seen 3 year old goldfish bigger than tht

  • MadeByFox....wtf r u smokin dope? Firstly chill out... It's a fish, second wtf the size of a tank? Wit if this tank is a meter wide? The fish is MAAGGIICCAALLY gonna grow a meter ... go sing the special song...Goes like this.... S.P.E.D. Learning disability!!!!

  • lol i thought mine was good, living till 11

  • my fish is 1 year old XD

  • zombie fish

  • WTF?!?!

  • dang japs!

  • @ghethreeaall Lol forgets stuff every 3 secs or sumthing

  • @ghethreeaall i agree

  • @ghethreeaall you do realze fish lose forget everything after like5 seocnds, so 5 seconds later it will be like oh look a new tank :D

  • @LolliPopGlitz really i didnt know that anyway he need that kind of talent on his situation!i wish i can have that talent so i can used it on my bad moods or bad situations!

  • @LolliPopGlitz Is that why they come to the front of the glass when you come up? They know you put food in the aquarium when you walk up to it.

  • imagine how long it would live if put in proper conditions

  • Can anyone translate? ~_~

  • Dumbshits complaining about the tank size....for one it's a goldfish...2 they will only grow to the size of their tank....and 3 stfu!

  • @MadeByFox Fish don't magically "grow to the size of the tank." This is a myth spread from the ignorant to the ignorant. Some fish can appear to stop growing in small tanks because nitrates and other wastes build up to levels toxic enough to impair the fish's growth. This is one of the very first things you would learn if you took a moment to do some actual research as opposed to calling those who know more than you do 'dumbshits.' It only makes you look like a fool.

  • @TheAsylumFriends kk you have a degree in fishery?.....if you do thats great but what you failed to do was make a valid argument....i said they go to the size of thier tank...you said and i quote "Some fish can appear to stop growing in small tanks because nitrates and other wastes build up to levels toxic enough to impair the fish's growth." so if the nitrares in the water impair the fishes growth then doesn't that mean that they will only grow so big in a certain enclosure?

  • @MadeByFox I'm doing doctoral work for ichthyology, so not yet. Had you read my comment mindfully you would have noted that I said "fish don't MAGICALLY grow to the size of their tank" not that it doesn't occur. The point is that stunting a fish isn't natural or harmless. The fish isn't adapting passively to its environment. Instead it's literally being poisoned, and stunted growth is a side effect of that. If those toxins don't kill the fish outright they will certainly reduce its life span.

  • @MadeByFox Have to say, Asylum's right here.

Dumbshits not knowing anything about fish...goldfish grow to about 12 - 15 inches long.....2) that's called stunting it's growth and can be considered cruelty...3) Go learn something before making yourself look like an idiot.

  • @Razkali HE EVEN SAID....THAT WILL STUNT THE FISHES GROWTH....THAT WOULD ALSO BE CONCIDERING GROWING TO THE SIZE OF THE TANK IF THE SIZE OF THE TANK IS STUNTING HIS/HER GROWTH...IF HE WANTED TO MAKE A VALID POINT HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER SAID THAT.....

  • mine was way bigger than that it died it was huge

had mine when i was in 4th grade and it died in 9th grade

  • mine was way bigger than that it died it was huge

  • goldfish is as gray as his owner lol.

  • um is it me or is it sad that it has that small of a tank for that big of a fish.

  • @tinkerbrittany That is Not a big fish i think its perfect

  • haha its probably like a cloned goldfish so it looks the same..

shit its white, you can replace it from walmart every year.... $0.79 cents

  • haha its probably like a cloned goldfish so it looks the same..

  • I tought the title ment the Longest as in lenght of the golfish...

  • looks old but i have seen bigger if hes still alive he needs a bigger tank preferably a small pond.

  • i wonder if its still alive..

  • it may think its hot shit but if i put my snapping turtle near him hes dead

  • dat fish is stunned, amazingly it survived dat long o_O

  • And I thought English dubbing was terrible.....

  • small tank small fish

  • my pleco is 16 years old

  • 44 years old, when will it die?

  • This isn't big due to the small tank..

  • You'd think after his 5th birthday or so they would have considered getting a bigger tank, and maybe a friend, but no.

  • I used to have two goldfish that we won at a fair. Goldie and Fin. They were kept in a 125 gallon tank and passed away 3 years ago, making them 29 years of age. Goldie was 18 inches long when he died and Fin was 13 inches.

The reason the goldfish is so small is that it was exposed to poor water quality and a bad environment as a baby, permanently affecting the fish. The sad thing is, the environment it's in now is still far too small, making this one in a million.

  • That awkward moment when your goldfish outlives you.

  • How come in the photo at age 43 from the newspaper, the fish had color on it's side? The fish in this video has no orange color. Are you sure gramps and granny aren't pulling a fast one?

  • to all those thinking it is pretty small. small tanks stunt goldfish size so if it was cramped when it was young then there is your answer.

  • Mys longer damet not kidding

  • That fish must be bored as fuck

  • That's pretty small for a 44 year old goldfish; I was expecting a 2 foot monster!

  • but its pretty small

  • can't have a jap video without the anime.

  • is there an english version

  • 'that fist is way too big for that tank!' FAIL

  • i wish i new how oldit was

  • Pretty sad when your goldfish flushes you down the toilet.

  • i got mine for 49 cents lol
