Hep B is not a sexually transmitted disease. It can very easily transmitted through SALIVA! Someone kissing, holding, or talking to your infant can infect him/her. Please take this into consideration when deciding what is right for your family.
There are plenty of diseases a newborn CAN catch, sure, but how is a baby going to get Hep B, except at birth?
Your immune system can become confused and attack your own body systems. The idea that a newborn's undeveloped immune sys. should be TRICKED into going into full fight mode so often - how can Drs think this is a good idea? Now MORE & MORE people's immune systems are getting confused and going into constant attack mode, causing huge increases in autoimmune disorders & allergies.

We were at a great hospital that wouldn't release him (thankfully) and were lifeflighted to a children's hospital. We were there 3 wks. We didn't think it was because of vaccine. At 2 months old he lost ability again after shot and spent 2 mon in feeding therapy. We bought Dr. Bock's book and no vaccines again. He is 6 months now and doing so much better. I wish we knew we could have refused Hep B.
I commend you for your passion as a parent. However, I believe you are so very wrong. Vaccines saves lives. If a vaccine hurts your child, you should not get that one again. Your story causes family fear with no vaccine adverse event history. Stories like these will cause of reoccurance of disease that kills infants too young to be vaccinated. Thank you, thank you, thank you for revealing the truth. My oldest was very selectively vaxed until 15 mo. He is now vax free and my 2 youngest children are completely vax-free. Its stories like this that re-confirm to me that we have made the right choice for our family.
I have four children - the first three have not had immunizations except for tetanus. They are 16, 15 and 12. But I just had a baby and am going through the pressuring to have him immunized. But I'm holding firm, he's nursing, he'll be okay for awhile. States should have looser schedules for the immunizations and list what are the contents of the vaccines and the companies that make them should be pressured to use something else besides questionable contents such as formadelhyde & alumnium.
When our 11 year old was a newborn, the doctors wanted to give him the Hep B vaccine. We asked them why a baby needs this type of shot so young. They had no answer, except it was standard procedure. We refused the shot and stopped all future vaccinations for our two boys. We went to the county health dept. and got the vaccine exemption due to our religious beliefs. They won't kill our children or cause them to be brain damaged so they can make a profit. Educate yourself on all current issues.

Thank you for sharing your story and I am so happy to see Max's improvement. We are delaying/selectively vaccinating our 5 month old and I wish I had done the same with our 4 year old. We started by refusing HepB. I don't know much, but I could guarantee our newborn wouldn't be engaging in the high risk behaviors known for spreading HepB. That administration feels like a CYA for the hospital. We wish you continued success in healing your son!
Thank you for sharing this. I too cried as I watched this. I stopped vaccinating when my 3rd child was about the same age as Max. He was behind developmentally. And at 5 he still doesn't speak and is Apraxic. We believe him on the Autism Spectrum along with a possible other neurological disorder too and are trying to get someone to take us seriously.

Hi, you absolutely CAN protect your baby. Simply put yourself in the driver's seat: get informed, do research, learn about other mom's experiences or research, join chat rooms, join grassroots organizations related to vaccines, delay or separate vaccines. Just dont be a doormat to anyone, especially when it comes to the well-being of your child(ren). YOU are the primary decision-maker in his or her tiny life.
