Have been to Rio, Sao Paulo, Maceio,Natal and Recife, even in the northern parts of Brazil you get a lot of crime, not to talk about corruption, my last visit in Natal myself and three other friends were approched by policia federal,had to bribe them with 200 reais, they wanted to arrest us for not carrying the pasports,but i know too well, kept the passport in the safe at the hotel and carried a copy.

No not really, i know in first hand. Have been to Rio, Sao Paulo, Maceio,Natal and Recife, even in the northern parts of Brazil you get a lot of crime, not to talk about corruption, my last visit in Natal myself and three other friends were approched by policia federal,had to bribe them with 200 reais, they wanted to arrest us for not carrying the pasports,but i know too well, kept the passport in the safe at the hotel and carried a copy.

If you want to get a whole picture, dont go just to the POOR NORTH (Rio and up), go to the RICH SOUTH as well (Sao Paulo and down). Visit Curitiba, Florianópolis, Porto Alegre, Goiânia. They are also state capitals, a lot richer than the cities you visit. Get informed.

And dont forget the millions of imigrants that Brazil and latin america received from first world places like europe and japan that now look down on us. But theres a time wich was the other way around and tehy need to send their enpovered citizens to here.
BUT yes i agree that we have many problems and we must move ourselfs to stop it b4 its too late but you can have a good life in brazil as long you are at least middle class but i agree the violence is growing toward us
