Mal abgesehen davon, dass eine markante Passage des Songs einer ebenso markanten Passage von "Flashdance" ähnelt... ja, ein toller Song, der einzig nennenswerte auf "Both Sides". Der Song leidet nur unter der sehr schlechten Produktion des gesamten Albums. Schade, aber vielleicht kommt ja mal ein Remix ;-)

Yes -- This was and is one of the best Phil Collins songs. When "Both Sides" came out, Nirvana and Pearl Jam were taking over the radios - Phil was in the past. It's a shame though....He still was coming out with some really moving stuff.

I'm certain this song would have been used on Miami Vice had it still been in production when Phil came out with this. He was hugely influential in the music of that show anyway, and this sounds like it would have been a good fit in an episode.

Plus, I don't think radio in the early to mid '90's was interested in a slow moving, "deep" song. Too much cheesy pop, boy bands and hip-hop for this song to work. So, the rest of the world lost out. We, however, have not. Thank you Mr. Collins.

I was one of the priviledge few to own Both Sides before it came out in 1993. The moment I heard "We Fly So Close" it nearly brought me to tears. I have spent many years trying to find out why Phil wrote this song. I thought "Take Me Home" was an emotional song for me because the song was about a guy in a mental institution.

Both Sides was indeed an under-rated album. Simply the best emotional song he has ever written and sang.

@firstmusic00 Finally! someone who really is a true Phil Collins Fan. "Both Sides" was my favorite album and I have been following Phil since he was just a drummer. This album showed off his versatility. He actually made the entire album in his studio at his home, playing almost all of the instruments and of course singing. GREAT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
