I was on the Permian team that year, the thing I remember the most about that French team is how bad they had started the year and then when they got to district they came together. We were expecting to play Galveston Ball in the champioships. we had three touchdowns called back in the game, one on a illegal formation on a play we had probably ran 200 times that year and a fumble recovery that back then you couldn't advance. They were a very good football team, no problems here sharing the title
i was there too! my brother and cousins played on that team.some cats from permian was stressn dat the movie didnt show any tied championship game with french and permian and sayn that they beat french,actually french had more penatration .
