Story mode is actually shorter now. Pretty much all characters from the last game are playable from the beginning. You have to unlock like 20.

For example that you were vegeta against super 17 and when during the battle you do him some amount of damage a movie clip is shown where vegeta launches his final shine attack, but the attack is nothing to super 17 and he knocks you and then goku arrives.

To be more specific about my idea of adventure mode of tenkaichi 3 is to be more like STAR WARS EPISODE 3, WHERE YOU have to go around levels do something to reach to the other level or stage and when you arrive with bosses like super 17 during the battle they should add video clips made in 3d or from the original serie.
