I remember this reported on the mainstream media news at the time. It was quietly forgotten by the incurious media as they went along with the sham of the "peace process" - like most everyone else, especially narcissistic leaders like Clinton who were boosted by the political theatre of it and self-servingly entertained hope for peace where there was none. Arafat played everyone very well.
