  • Just apply online if you can, I did and I

Started getting checks in a couple weeks, that the fastest way.

  • You saved my life bro!

  • thanks man im totaly gonna try this tomorrow there such a pain in the ass

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU RUDY.....after 2 weeks of calling everyday this WORKED. On the line with them now.....it only took one call!

  • Great

  • hahaha! I just posted a video about this today. Nice to know I'm not the only one!

  • This is why California is so fucked up economically. My company that just laid me off is rejecting my totally valid claim, and punks like this can get unemployment insurance benefits. What a joke!!!

  • @ryanhickey2003 , CA is in eco ruins because the state is corrupt to the bone and politicians only represent their interests. If your claim is truly valid, and you think ex-employer is trying to blackball your efforts to collect, seek legal assistance. (or do your own legal research) It takes forever but you can get a hearing.

As for the rest of what you said

i worked with rudy, and can vouch on his legitimacy. He was one of the only real people in that whole office.

  • It is a nightmare. They have put me on hold and then hang up. I ask for a supervisor and then they hang up. They think you want one thing even though you explained exactly what you want they do another!!

  • that's why you email your concern. They always respond to your emails. But just state your issue and your SS#

  • @Tonster1998 Wrong. That only works if you qualify to apply online. You have to call otherwise.

  • @Tonster1998 and when you email your "concern" they tell you to call in. i know bcuz i've tried all options...

People don't want a response they want their check. Nuff Said!

  • Got through 1st try. 4 minutes and my business was handled. You're a fucking genius.

  • @lionheartinfidel Glad I was able to help

  • thanks! it worked right off the bat right through to them!

    no waiting.

  • You do not have to call EDD ever if you file your claim properly online.

  • If you call the Vietnamese line, then they might switch you back to the English line.

    And then you're stuck again...

  • The California EDD makes Nazi's look like Smurfs.

  • Fuck you for even shouting them out bitch ass nip!

  • Yo thanks to everyone who got help from this video

  • No kidding. The EDD department is the worst. I can't wait for Health Care to be run like this. Call in on the vietnames phone line tp explain my medical needs. .

  • @gwcobra LOL you know thats whats gonna happen...

  • I tried the vietnamese number first, and while i did get through on first try the guy was pissed, and transferred me to the english line which was busy. So I tried the regular number and used the 1-3-0 sequence and got through on first try. after 6 weeks of not knowing this...the trick worked, and this video and the posts just saved my house from going to foreclosure!!

and was also told they would send ALL the checks at once to catch me up from december 19th til today!!..

  • is there any buttons you have to press?

  • Using the foreign language lines is ONLY good if you either understand the menu in that language or know the "shortcut" numbers to press to speak to someone. I have noticed cell phones are less likely able to get you in que to speak with a rep. If you use a landline and dial quickly, you should be able to get throught at exactly 8am by dialing 1-800-300-5616 and press 1-2-1-1-7 as fast as you can! It's all in the timing.

  • I've been desperately seeking employment since January 2009. Here I am, nearly an entire year later, with nothing but a list that's two pages long, of all the places I've applied at for a job. I'm almost 22, and I drive a bicycle. I've never been able to afford my first car yet. I feel so hopeless. I was on unemployment, but it stopped during summer. I had to file an appeal, and had a hearing with a judge to decide if I was eligible to keep recieving benefits. Now it's another waiting game.

  • Rudy, you can also get a hold of EDD by using their regular number 1-800-300-5616, then when you get the regular answering message ( not the overflow message with the lady with the higher voice) You need to dial 1-2-1-1-7 OR 1-3-0. Either method may take a couple of tries but you will get through faster that way, too. I got through the FIRST Time using 1-3-0! Good Luck to Everyone calling in!
