If she's so well-trained, why'd she flick her blood right on the spice? Seems like an elementary mistake to me. But in the first place, why cut her finger?
I love this movie..... Thank you so much for posting!! Ash is one of my new favorite actresses/people, now. She is gorgeous in so many ways! Her acting in this movie is amazing. I really bought into the whole story because of her character. Thanks again! :)
I am quite amused at how people are commenting on her looks. Pretty woman, but by no means the most beautiful "in the world." This is, however, a very good movie. I'm going to read the book now that I know there is one.
i absolutely adore her... she is gorgeous in every way!! with or without make up she is beautiful... i'm in love with her, her personality is enough to make anyone love her, and her beauty is so overwhelming, i dont know how i would react in her presence... i'd spend all day watching her movies, with or without english subtitles, i wont have to understand a word she says, only her voice would sufice... her facial expression make me feel what she feels, my heart skips a beat everytime she smiles
awww my parents didn't over react like this when I married a white bloke...... poor chick ! men are just men, there is nothing Indian about them at all..... all are same ;) ;) ;) ;)
Wow I never knew that spices have power. I mean I know herbists use herbs for healings. I am american and 1/3 Indian and have always been fascinated in India and magic. Btw this is an awesome movie with a beautiful actress!!!
East Indian emigrants, like any other for that matter, lost of their real culture and traditions once they came to fucking north america. All the cultural cliches come from those that emigrated, not from the original culture.
@poisonwitchada oh come on don't take it personally. It's just being truthful about the narrow-minded things people think about each other. I mean everyone thinks Indians are cab-drivers and a backwards culture. We all know the truth; not all mexicans are criminals and not all indians are cab drivers
@Xaltiel Please tell me you don't really believe that everyone raised in North America thinks that about India. Backwards? Maybe it's a cliche now but I was raised to respect Ghandi and Nehru and a thousand year old culture, although we didn't know a lot about it. I wish I had.
@yamsid No, ofcourse not. I'm not that skeptic to think every single person thinks wrongly of India. In fact I have come across a few people that respect and cherish our culture. I was just trying to make a point to poiswitchda to not take the comments about mexicans so personally
@Xaltiel And I meant nothing hostile by my comment. I guess it's just a personal reaction to the fact that I could have lived this long and remain so bloody ignorant about other cultures and lifestyles. Maybe I'll learn more in the next life. Thanks for the reply.
lol shes looking at the door constantly . shes anxious to see him agin. lol its so cute,,, thanks for the post aleesya87 you da man .... even though your a girl... but still...... your da man ...
@sagilady52 It's funny because the character in the book was nothing like how they make her seem in the movie. The book actually had more of a feminist bent to it as it was written by a more feminist leaning Indian woman. She was actually plain at best..and a decrepit elderly woman at her worse. She was given to pride and vengeance, especially against her parents who neglected her for being born a girl. They omitted an awful lot.
Yes, very beautiful...Actually, she was a Ms. World, and many in the world consider her the most beautiful woman in the world. She has be in over 40 films...Incredible!!
dude has seriously bad timing! I hope everything will be okay

She's not bare faced. There's plenty of make up cleverly disguised in earth colors.

@Usagiiiiiiii It's Geza but not sure how to spell it. Anyways it's like paprika or a type of chili powder i think.
WinterBliz 1 year ago
@Usagiiiiiiii : Its not kesa, its kesar. In English it is called Saffron. It is a spice derived from the flower of the saffron crocus
