  • baffling that she need to uses magic/spices to get men, beautifulll :P

  • Comment removed

  • what's wrong with the red peppers again?

  • If she's so well-trained, why'd she flick her blood right on the spice? Seems like an elementary mistake to me. But in the first place, why cut her finger?

  • omg! that frekin red pepper scares me..like for real.. haha

  • She's not bare faced. There's plenty of make up cleverly disguised in earth colors.

  • I love this movie..... Thank you so much for posting!! Ash is one of my new favorite actresses/people, now. She is gorgeous in so many ways! Her acting in this movie is amazing. I really bought into the whole story because of her character. Thanks again! :)

  • she has got lots of make up on...its just earth tone make up

  • wow i never thought about spices this way !!!

  • if I use basil I wonder if I will remember the things I need for my exam

  • Omg! My Grannie has Tulsi tea like everyday. This movie gives a whole new angle to spices.

  • wow her eyes throughout the whole movie they are gorgeous so jealous!

  • i absolutely adore her... she is gorgeous in every way!! with or without make up she is beautiful... i'm in love with her, her personality is enough to make anyone love her, and her beauty is so overwhelming, i dont know how i would react in her presence... i'd spend all day watching her movies, with or without english subtitles, i wont have to understand a word she says, only her voice would sufice... her facial expression make me feel what she feels, my heart skips a beat everytime she smiles

  • Haroun: "Yeh kaun hai?"

    Rofl, typical desi response :D

  • Does anyone know the name of that drink she's buying at 2:44?

  • awww my parents didn't over react like this when I married a white bloke...... poor chick ! men are just men, there is nothing Indian about them at all..... all are same ;) ;) ;) ;)

  • a pure asian beauty... flawless...

  • Next to Monica Belluci, she is one of the most beautiful women in the world. And Dylan McDermott is pretty easy on the eyes himself!

  • why is she giving away everything.......i mean i haven't seen her taking money at all.....lol

  • beautiful woman

  • Wow I never knew that spices have power. I mean I know herbists use herbs for healings. I am american and 1/3 Indian and have always been fascinated in India and magic. Btw this is an awesome movie with a beautiful actress!!!

  • hey! it's padma from top chef :D

  • East Indian emigrants, like any other for that matter, lost of their real culture and traditions once they came to fucking north america. All the cultural cliches come from those that emigrated, not from the original culture.

  • almond powder and kesa? What's kesa?

  • @Usagiiiiiiii almond powder

  • @Usagiiiiiiii an almond powder drink, i think?

  • @Usagiiiiiiii It's Geza but not sure how to spell it. Anyways it's like paprika or a type of chili powder i think.

  • @Usagiiiiiiii : Its not kesa, its kesar. In English it is called Saffron. It is a spice derived from the flower of the saffron crocus

  • hmmm... I'm Mexican American, but I really want to marry Dev Patel he he... he's a cutie :)

  • Fellow Indians go ahead and marry Mexians!

  • Great, I always wanted to watch this movie! Thanks a lot! Aish is a wonderful actress

  • @delifulya they're both beautiful

  • so we mexicans are slumdogs and criminals.... yeah right

  • @poisonwitchada dont take it personally, its just an opinion of an old grumpy man, Indians love mexican people and culture x

  • @poisonwitchada oh come on don't take it personally. It's just being truthful about the narrow-minded things people think about each other. I mean everyone thinks Indians are cab-drivers and a backwards culture. We all know the truth; not all mexicans are criminals and not all indians are cab drivers

  • @Xaltiel Please tell me you don't really believe that everyone raised in North America thinks that about India. Backwards? Maybe it's a cliche now but I was raised to respect Ghandi and Nehru and a thousand year old culture, although we didn't know a lot about it. I wish I had.

  • @yamsid No, ofcourse not. I'm not that skeptic to think every single person thinks wrongly of India. In fact I have come across a few people that respect and cherish our culture. I was just trying to make a point to poiswitchda to not take the comments about mexicans so personally

  • @Xaltiel And I meant nothing hostile by my comment. I guess it's just a personal reaction to the fact that I could have lived this long and remain so bloody ignorant about other cultures and lifestyles. Maybe I'll learn more in the next life. Thanks for the reply.

  • @Xaltiel Look, most of my friends know that India is one of the oldest cultures, and in present time the center of IT..

  • dang, those pepers r making her horny ahahaha.

  • Wow she looks amazing with no makeup even more beautiful cause when she wears makeup she ends up looking fake, but wow she is gorgeous in this movie!

  • OMG.. that's Padma Lakshmi from Top Chef.. how cool is that..

  • her eyes do ... you should see bipasha basu she looks like sofia loren!

  • @Tanishaluvzmumbai

yes and priyanka chopra looks like gina lollobridgida

  • her makeup in this movie is awesome

  • i really like aish for me she represents femininity and grace, like most indian actresses unlike american women

  • @sagilady52 It's funny because the character in the book was nothing like how they make her seem in the movie. The book actually had more of a feminist bent to it as it was written by a more feminist leaning Indian woman. She was actually plain at best..and a decrepit elderly woman at her worse. She was given to pride and vengeance, especially against her parents who neglected her for being born a girl. They omitted an awful lot.

  • Very beautiful this Indian actress. Her eyes are wonderful. Reminds me Sofia Loren...

  • Yes, very beautiful...Actually, she was a Ms. World, and many in the world consider her the most beautiful woman in the world. She has be in over 40 films...Incredible!!

  • i cant take my eyes of ash ..jus like the hero in the film
