  • Beautiful style, Is the theatre organ connected up through MIDI?

    Are they worth getting?

    Thank you

  • @jackyvix Hello.Thank you for your kind comment. Yes it is MIDI to a FantomXR loaded with the Theatre Organ in a Box samples from Total Transforamtion Technology. Worth getting? - absolutely. The sound are wonderful. Regards Mark

  • @mcharman15 But are they a lot a money?

  • @jackyvix 399 pounds for the samples but you would also need the Roland Fantom XR

  • @mcharman15 Oh Lord that's a lot, why is the Roland needed?

  • I wish I could play my GN9 this well but I have disobedient fingers..... It's an age thing..):):):):).... What's that key board on top just out of view?....... Is it a MIDI controller or have you done as I have and just used another keyboard/workstation?..... Great playing by the way..... wonderful sound..... takes me back to Blackpool.......David

  • @keystar62 Many thanks for the kind remarks. The keyboard on top is a Technics KN5000 - it is also midi'd up. the sounds are samples from Total Transformation Technology's Theatre Organ in a Box - via Roland Fantom XR.

  • You have to hand it to them, they finally did it, capturing the mighty WurliTzer with modern electronic means. Asides from my own style, I happen to like the "British Bounce" organ playing. Regards to all my fans.

  • How did you get the theater sounds from that digital Technic's organ? Sounds great! You can get this from a new Lowrey organ.

  • as good as any around today, very enjoyable, thank you from Ireland.

  • @barneyboscoe Thank you for your comment. Regards Mark

  • Yes, I agree totally with MrGlennyGlenn - Mark, you may be an amateur like the rest of us , but you play like a PRO..... 5 stars! (why did youtube have to take away the star ratings? -grr!)

  • Hello Once Again Mark ! Yes I've Been into The Organ World Since I Was Very Young.I Must Say This, Your A Flaming Good Amateur.Anyway Mark Keep On Playing & Best Wishes...Glenn.....

  • Mark,This Is Bloody Fantastic ! Why Dont You Make A C.D..It's absolutely Brilliant..A lovely Quickstep....Give Us More Of Your Superb Talent..

  • @MrGlennyGlenn Many thanks for your kind remark. CD - i'm not so sure. I'm only an amateur who loves the organ!!

    Kind regards

  • An excellent Quickstep time piece. It's very much Phil Kelsall 's style. I love the sounds. Its just like the real thing. :-) xx

  • Pretty cool. I wish I had one of those in my day. Can it only do "Blackpool"?

  • Nice....I have the TOIAB also...have had it for a little over a year. I am an organist and MIDI accordionist as well as keyboard player but primarily play using the MIDi accordion to control the Roland Sampler. I got the idea from Regs YouTube video of him demoing the TOIAB on his MIDI accordion.

The MIDI accordion is a huge crowd pleaser here in Michigan. Having seperate bass and accompaniment on the left and two channels on right treble KB mimics three manual organ and pedal board.

  • well done, awesome sounds from the box

  • Hello! I'm very glad I found this video!... On the other hand, I miss my old Elka, where I used to play tunes like the ones I've just listened to. That's a Technics, in'it? It sounds very good and you, my friend, seem to be in a great shape =)

Really enjoyed it - 5 star performance!

    All the best. Jose

  • Hello

Thanks for your kind remarks. You are quite right - It is a Technics, a GN9 in fact but the sound is coming from a Roland Fantom XR with Theatre Organ in a Box samples via MIDI.

    Cheers

  • sorry that was ment to be your style not our style in the past comment by me. i do apologize about that thanks for posting

  • There is no accompaniment - just pure hands and feet! lol. The rhythm is from the keyboard on top, which is a Technics KN5000. Regards Mark.

  • what keyboard is it that you are using for accompanimet drums. Im Loving our Style and The Samples are absloutley fantastic. Im Hoping To Get a Tyros Soon and Hopefully buy these samples from total transformation to use. Thanks for posting

  • Very good technique. Fantastic sound but could you tell me what model it is and how does it compare to a Yamaha AR100. Cheers, A

  • Adrian

Thanks for the comment. The organ is a Technics GN9 - quite old. However, it is not the organ that is making the sound - these are generated by a Roland Fantom XR using Total Transformation Technology's Theatre Organ in a Box and is connected via MIDI. Hope that made sense? Ta Mark.

  • Mark,

No - I haven't heard TIAB live, I've only heard mp3's of the samples.

Do you know if it will only run with Roland Fantom XR - (can't afford one lol )!

    Cheers, Dave

  • The samples only work on the XR or the X range keyboard equivalent. I think that they do some samples for Tyros and Ketron, but I'm not sure if these are purely theatre organ samples or something else.

    Regards, Mark

  • A really convincing theatre organ sound.

I've heard TTT's theatre-organ-in-box before, but this set-up sounds really good.

An excellent performance as well - you have a very good theatre organ style of playing.

Did you have to programme your Technics to change the "box's" registration presets?

    Cheers, Dave

  • Dave,

Thanks for your comment. Didn't really need to do much with the Technics - just tell it which program to select when changing registration, which is easy enough. Have you heard one of these live? - the samples are superb. Ta
