this boss was so hard for me because i didn't have any means to stun him, and didnt even think about throwing things at him. plus i got it on pc. so i had to get him with just combat rifle and pistol. was really hard. thought i would have gotten stuck for a while.

this boss is easy. You can beat him without wasting not even a single bullet. Just throw him explosive barrels and gas barrels.

Managed to kill Barrett really quickly in like 45 seconds...just shoot him with the stun gun, then throw him that red barrell which will explode on him, then gave him 2 sniper shots and stun gun again, then finally 2 shots with a pistol and he`s down !!

barret really isn't too hard. Just make sure u have the stun gun and a fully upgraded typhoon aug. with like 2 or 3 rounds

Still think Barrett is the hardest boss in the game except for the final boss (won't spoil here)

Federicha is beatable with the typhoon (be prepared!) and namir is the easiest boss fight in the world. If you can beat barrett you shouldn't have any more problems.

Useful tip for others: ALWAYS carry a EMP grenade, it will save your life later in the game.

I failed to kill him before i passed all the levels before him one more time and understood that the barrels are when they are for a reason. I threw like 3 of them at him, cloaked, run to a cover and headshotted him with my armor piercing pistol 8 times. His dermal armor never asked for this.

@M4ST3RCH13F98 Pick up the barrels around the room and throw them at him. On normal you have to throw about 6 at him for him to die.

use grenades, stun guns, any gun you want and cover. dont get close, and know where the items are (like shotguns) to give you a boost :)

These all depend on what difficulty level you are on, people saying a couple of grenades and a couple hits, may work on easy, but not on hard.

Stun him,put some remote detonated devices (I used 3) beneath him while he is stuned,run away and kaboom! Dead :D

@TheRoflSpartan i just did it. i had useless weapons. i ran back through the level finding stun gun darts and then at the very very start of the level where you get dropped of by the helicopter thing i found a stun gun. thats how i did it

or you could toss an emp granade at him,shoot untill he raises his hand,then repeat.he will be defeated after 4 granades (varies per difficulty)

I had the tranquilizer gun, no grenades of any kind, and i have a silenced and red dot laser beam sniper rifle, all i did was throw one gas tank at him, 4 sniper shots to the head, ran away, threw another gas tank, 4 sniper shots to the head, ran away, 3rd gas tank, 2 or 3 sniper shots to the head and he died, took roughly 30 seconds to kill him.

This is for those of you, like me, with no stun gun or grenades of any kind.

there is ammo scattered around the place, so if you can find the time to grab it...

took me around 4 times to do the trick... EMP grenade, frag grenade, then combat rifle. Another EMP + shotgun and he when down down down

@devodevs ive just managed to do it without shooting, you can run around and grab the explosive barrells and poison gas tanks and throw them at him. What a relief it was when i did it

@jpnottz1 Pick up the explosive barrels stick to outside of the map. when hes not looking throw them at him, also there is toxic gas canisters that do a lot of damage and blind him. Hope that helped. I didn't fire a single shot to kill him.

@jpnottz1 lol did you know there are 2 places in that room one has shotguns and the other has pistol ammo i had a stun grenade to so yea. i basically stuned him with grenade then used all of the assault rifle on him while stunned then hid behind cover used most of my pistol ammo on him then used the shotgun on him while behind cover. i also had 2 health shots so yea. the problem is is that you dont have any stun grenades. try and hide behind cover as much as possible when he stops shooting and

@jpnottz1 shoot him for a couple of seconds when he stops shooting.there is also a gas canister and explosive barrel try and make him walk by them then shoot them i also had to health shots i bought from the shop where you buy augmentations . the best way is go thru the game stealthy but its your decision.i also bought a weapon upgrade for the pistol from the weapons dealer at the start of the mission.

Bottom line is there are lots of ways to kill him. This is just what worked for me. Basically using any explosive to stun him works from what I'm reading in the comments. Should be a simple stun and gun type of fight.

If youre a stealthy hacker like me here's how I did it with 2 EMPS, a flash grenade and a shotgun on normal difficulty. Run to the left get the emp in the crate. Stun him get a shot in or 2 (in the head) with ur weapon and run to the opposite corner. In the weapon locker grab all the shotguns and grenades. Grab healing items. Throw any barrels and gas tanks in the middle of the room IF you can. Hit him with grenade then run up and blast his face. Heal as needed. Fight lasted maybe 2 minutes.

@mlibront you don't NEED a stun gun, there are weapon caches all over the area plus a few explosive containers against the wall. This is truly a poor environment for Barret. Just get creative, as long as his hp goes to 0, it doesn't matter if you shocked him or shot him or blew him up. It's all about choices and circumstances, but key thing here is to use cover and don't let him get close

I found that using the frag grenades and head shots with the revolver was a fairly easy way to beat him. I used the stun grenade on him and it only seemed to slow him down for a second where as the frag grenade had him standing still for at least 10 seconds.
