hello hotforwords,
in my past history class i learned how the terms bull market and bear market came to be. These words were chosen to describe if the stock market was going UP or going DOWN. In a bear market, the stocks are going DOWN. this is similar to how a bear attacks, it stands up and pounces down. In a bull market, the market is going up. when a bull attacks, its head starts off in the bottom position and lifts UPward to attack. These terms can be see by how those statues were built
