The ps3 slim does'nt have the lack ''skin''. Thats dissapointed. Ps3 slim is so ugly. It cracks when i am asleep. God give us the old back in target/business/stores. Ps3 slim sucks, i have it. I like it but i wanted a ps3 60gb.

I like the glossy PS3, people who complain about fingerprints are stupid because why would you touch the top glossy finish? All you will be touching are the touch sensitive power and eject buttons. The original PS3 looks better, its nice Sony made the PS3 Slim more affordable but they sacrificed the look of the system. The PS3 Slim is not a horrible design, I just prefer the original PS3, maybe it will grow on me?

Interesting about the no power button in the back. Guess Sony was getting tired of repairing PS3's that had burnt out lasers from people using the back power button rather than the front. Which caused voltage surges which screwed up the diodes (most notably the 405nm violet Blu-ray diode which is very sensitive to voltage changes).

Smart move by Sony.

I really don't see how the PS3 Slim could get hotter then the other PS3 models. I would assume the smaller components would have made a large difference, don't forget the PSU is at the back now and that might be why it seems to be emitting hotter air.
