@dazzle7000 I used a Sony DC PC105, but the trick was mounting the camera on a small tripod right on the windowsill, only inches from the birds. When the screen was closed I found I could hold the camera and move it slowly, and they wouldn't see me. I had to be careful to set the focus so the screen would be so out of focus that it would disappear.
I am without words. I have never before seen birds so close up, in such detail. You are an inspiration! What camera did you use, with what lenses?
