And now I'm pissed cause I lost redstone, diamond, my sword, my pick, my axe, melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, 58 torches, 5x64= the ammount of clay I lost, most of my wood and cobblestone. I was trying to make my mansion out of cobblestone and wooden gates. If you we're me trying to build a mansion and a beginner but an expert, you would be pissed of too.

Once in minecraft I went exploring and dug into a mountain and I found a huge mineshaft and on the bottom to find a chest with 6 redstone and 1 diamond. I found a lot of gold and redstone in the walls but didn't have a iron pick. I was lost. So I called my friend to ask him what to do when your in a situation like me. He said "try digging up" so I did. And guess what happened. My sensitivity was on 15% and still destroyed two blocks of gravel when lava poured in, cornering me and killing me.

Yeah apparently if you just found red stone and it's near Iron, it dosen't have to be near iron but you got more of a chance, but if you dig around like close to the red stone you found then you might find some diamond it's preety hard but ive only found diamonds 1nce

Just to clarify for any new players, Diamond isn't more likely to be around Lava, it just so happens that Lava is common on the same layer Diamond generates. But like most things in this game, it's random. Check the wiki on Diamonds for more detailed info.
