¿Cuándo se inaugura el museo dedicado a la obra y talento de este señor?.....mientras tanto, como decía Rosendo Mercado, seguiremos esperando y sufriendo la tortura de las vellonzé,xakira y similares. Thanks a lot señor ZAPPA. GOD BLESS YOUR MEMORY aunque no os llevaráis del todo bien. OLE!!!!!!!!!!
This band of Zappa's played so many gigs, that they were one of the tightest bands he had. It seems like Frank had the most fun touring with this line up.
I had a boss once who told me," If you can't get enough work, just by word of mouth. Than advertising, won't keep you employed." F.z. & the mothers were listened to, & most loved it! Just by word of mouth, [ No mtv in those days.] So it is the quality of this music that will keep people interested! Sorry Frank, [ in the end you didn't care really ] but your work excelled in quality to the point, it cannot be forgotten.
lets not forget Napolean Murphey Brock, the timeless voice, moves and sax really make this a great version, and ruth underwood on the vibes, George Duke on keys, chester thompson on drums.. great stuff, probably one of the best of the bands over the years, so much talent

this is probably my favorite zappa line up without the original mothers, after that comes the belew and bozzio phase and then the willis, white and martin era^^
I read a anonymous book about zappas life between 71 and 74 and this lady who was in the band toured with them and she was his lover for that time frame.could it have been ruth, she did divorce ian the other mother in the group around 71! HMMM!!!
i'll always remember the mothers day concerts in baltimore!!! zapp's birth place! thanx my friend for the excellant work in bringing such a wonderful tune!!!!
This is my all time favorite Zappa band of all of his different bands. They're all having such a damn good time playin' together. You can just feel it.
no,it was Saturday night live performance december 1976 with candice bergman and john belushi that jump started frank into US popularity and commercail appeal especially after zoot allures album 1976 and baby snakes movie 1978.
The commercial appeal began with sheik yer bouti, bobby brown, jewish princess, dancing fool. And his SNL performance with dancing fool really got him to the top of commercial appeal.lets face it,when I heard zappa dancing fool played on an AM radio staion in 1979 one afternoon in NY,I knew he got there commercially! 81 palladium performance was already just a twist of what he did in the 70;s.His commercial appeal, whatever he got,was already desiminated to the public by 1979.
i don't have alot of Frank on video....But CD's..... about 35 or 40..... Some of the best is on Live Collections Titled " You Can't do that on Stage anymore" volumes 1,2,3....etc. and "the Best band you never heard in your Life" Top notch live Performances. RIP FZ.....arf arf
you can buy the dub room special, but it only has some of the performances from this show. the rest is from the 81 halloween show at the palladium. its a good buy though.
n.m. brock's singig always make me feel like i'm listening to funkadelic... nevertheless, my favorite lineup

this version starts with the end of 'orange county' but misses out the full solo before going into 'pygmy twylyte'
add watch?v=coG2EakB97g&feature=related for the full solo
