I'd definately want to start out with a smaller kit model. Always loved the sound from the old sci-fi/horror movies and I have seen them used by a couple noise bands and even a rock-a-billy band, for a song about bw monster movies.

Cool stuff and waaaay over my head, at the moment.

it's a decent pedal. the effects aren't all that great but they do the job. i'd say stick to single effect pedals unless you can afford a high end multi effects like a vox or a boss. 50 bucks isn't bad if you're starting out and want to hear a bunch of different effects, but once you know what you want and what you need, i'd say get those individual effects, much higher quality.
