  • Summer of '76...

  • I just heard this guy sing bruce and it was awesome... check it out...

  • Bruce opened many of his shows in the '70s with this classic. Great tune from BORN featuring a superb Big Man!

  • How can they ever play this song again without Clarence wailing in the background? Sniff. Sniff.

  • @CBSEye They can't!

  • Rest in peace big man. we loved you.

  • rip big man

  • would of loved to of been there, must've been a few people late for work that day

  • by far the best springsteen song

  • @pgdrums12 His most direct... sung in the second person!

  • weak!

  • nothing like doing a song called night at about 930 in the morning

  • I recall raving about Bruce and people looking at me funny; this was back in the early '70s; still relevant today.

  • My favorite Springsteen song of all time....everything else is tied for second! Thank you God for creating Bruce Springsteen!

  • This song always gave me the shivers....it is optimistic, and sad, and hopeful, and depressing....all at the same time......maybe the best song on the album.....

  • this was the single best one on Born To Run. i played it till the vinyl wore out.

  • i was living in Red Bank N.J. at the time-- it was spring of 2002 ---walked into a cafe in Rumson N.J.( nearby) GUESS whos sittin there eatin with his father in law.BRUCE!!!!

spoke with briefly --we had a mutual friend we talked about and he signed my place mat---still have it

  • one guy missed the like button...

  • As usual, giving all they've got; watched this over and over.

  • fantastic.

  • not many performers in their sixties are as close (or even better) than they were in their twenties, unlike springsteen.

  • @yrrebhsuk Neil Young.

  • This man is superhuman! I just saw two concerts in the past 4 days (he actually played 3 shows in 4 days, but I missed one) and he plays 3 hours, NON STOP...and he'll be 60 years old next month! His concerts are EPIC! I pray every day that Bruce Springsteen will live forever!

  • nigh...........................!!!!

  • Survive till five - the motto of my working (slaving) life.

  • Bruce have always been writing about the truth.

This is the truth. Welcome to life. Take what you get, and make the best out o' it.

  • Maybe my favorite Springsteen song. Get in your car and escape.

  • gas was 53 cents a gallon when he wrote this

  • the guy at 2:07 and the Asian chick at 2:35 show the amazement you feel at these shows. I've come to think that this is one of his best compositions, rather than some of those bombastic, anti-climactic warhorses, like Backstreets or Jungleland. No made up names, It's about you. You step out. You break through.

  • it is fucking retarded how good that performance is. My boy Tim Russert has the best expression on his face.

  • Awesome, isn't it?? Wow!!!

  • Comment removed

  • garrboy: too right, R.I.P. Tim Russert, glad he got to see this performance. Matt Lauer though needs a shot of what the crowd was feeling, what a TOOL!

  • Man, just listen to the bass line! Miss you Danny.

  • Qué coño hace fuentes ahi?jaja

  • es un gran fan del boss

  • they're playing the Bada Bing! next week

  • GREAT song from great album

  • Very true.

  • He opened "Night" in Portland. But this performance isn't half of what Portland was

  • bruce opened with this song at the montreal show. absolutely amazing performance!

  • Portly fellows, apart from the Boss ... do we really have to gain a kilo every year?

  • Clarence was always a big guy...(hence his nickname), but as far as I can see, the only one who's gained a lot of weight is Steve.

  • that Arte's a good cook

  • And Max put some weight on too

  • Taking My sister to the Hartford show for her first Bruce Experience!!!!!

  • You sir, are a magnificent brother.

  • It was a great time. I attended this show and

am in this video in the audience. Bruce and

the entire band were terrific as always.

  • ive got tickets for manchester too, ive been listening to bruce for about 15 years and ive never seen him so i cant wait!

  • this is the best bruce song and the best performance of it EVER! Bite me, if you disagree! Just look at them; are they having a good time or what? Great looking crowd as well. Well done NYC!

  • I been a Bruce fan for getting on 20 years. Saw him with the "other band", saw him with Seeger Sessions Band but never seen E Street, how bad is that. Best part is I got tickets for Manchester May 28th 2008. It really cannot come soon enough, 20 years in the waiting. Bruce is king !

  • Saw the Boss in Pittsburgh...Just as much energy as he had when i saw him 30 years ago...Truly is THE BOSS..!!!!

  • Everyone looks to be having a great time; everyone except Matt Lauer!

  • Lauer is a pompous stick in the mud

  • Awesome. Anyone who hasn't heard the Born to Run album, go out and get that now. It changed my life.

  • well i am not sure if it changed my life, i would say 'war' by U2 did in my youth, but if i made a top 10 lp's of all-time list this would be at number-one now. so much passion.

  • You sir, have great taste in music! For the record - though somewhat off-topic - 'New Year's Day' is my number one favorite song of all time!

  • FUENTEEEEEES!!!! jaja q aces tu x ai q cara de felicidad! el español q mas suerte a tenido con bruce jaja

  • Night>> Cool song, great album.Best sound Rockefeller Plaza has had in a long time. The Boss is back!!

  • Fantastic. The Boss is back.

  • Nov 2nd St.Paul Minnesota. I'll be there.

  • bloody unreal.....10/10

  • my favorite bruce tune! Nails it, again.

  • I have my tickets for both days in Los Angeles and I know the shows are worth it!ticket prices be damned, you always get 110% from Bruce!

  • nesnman????? not made good music in years?? are you well he has made great music past and present! His ticket prices for the magic tour are amongst the cheapest of any the super groups - only 50 quid for belfast! cHECK YOUR FACTS BUDDY!!

  • And I shall be at Belfast, December 15th CANT WAIT. And it was actually £49 ;)

    nesnman. . . WHAT!?!?!?

  • Wonderful oldie to play

  • que grande es el boss, desde valladolid ,saludos

  • This was AWESOME!!!! I was there waiting in line at 2 a.m. It was SOOOOO worth it!!! Bruce put on a great show AS USUAL!!!! Can't wait to see him in Boston!!!!

  • it seems that on this tour he's not playing a lot of his famous material - no thunder road, no backstreets or jungleland, no dancing in the dark, born in the usa, glory days..... he's playing lots of born to run and born in the usa stuff, but not the most famous songs from those albums. thats fine though, its good to mix it up, but for my first springsteen concert (october 9) i probably would want him to play lots of things i know. whatever its gonna be amazing anyway

  • dude! he is just warming up! besides, on every tour he starts off with a lot of new material (which is what we really want to hear), and gradually adds all the staples :) relax and he will play that God forsaken Born in the USA for the 6,000,000,000th time :)

  • yeah, gradually....well i'm seeing him on the tour's second (offical) show.

and im glad that for some of these rehearsals he's been closing the main set with "badlands".

  • So, what did you think ? See, he DID play Born to Run and he's trotted out winners everywhere, Badlands, Incident, Kitty's Back, Growing Up, even Dancing in the Dark made it out. It has been an amazing tour.

  • i was stupid when i wrote that old comment...

i think the best song he played at the concert i went to was darkness on the edge of town. that was great

  • mierdaaaa!!! he ain`t coming to barcelonaaaaa

  • it's never enough, bruce is already one of us, would you forgive he ain't playing in New jersey? noooo, so he's got to manage to do a second tour

  • yes, i was kidding

and im going to the first jersey show, but i'm from nyc

  • These are gonna be some good shows. Can't wait!

  • They've still got it.

  • One of my favorite songs from Born to Run.

  • what an awesome concert this morning! i can;t wait to see hime this saturday in philly;)

  • Any one who questions The Big Man's ability, just needs to watch this. He was in top form this morning!

  • NICE!! thanks for posting this....
