China and India are building these plants as we speak. China has one built and 27 planned.

The result, same CO2 produced, the only difference is that China gets the jobs and makes the cash, and then we end up importing oil made from coal from China.

Wow...uhh might want to do some research first. Our military currently gets Diesel fuel from the middle east...yeah easily taken over by either Russia or China. Since we can make diesel from Coal AND take out the CO2 in the process everything will be ok brothers. You can then use this CO2 to make algae biodiesel and other such plant based things. You do know plants take in CO2 and produce Oxygen. You do like Oxygen don't you?

While I do want greener renewable fuel sources, anthropogenic global warming is nothing but a hoax. The largest producer of CO2: the ocean. The main cause of the temperature rise: the SUN. The government needs to stay out of the free market. I don't want coal to liquid bullshit; just abolish the bills that won't let us drill for oil in large parts of our country. As technology advances and becomes more efficient then make the steady transition to alternative fuel sources.
