you mean the back of the car just goes on and you do a 180 degree spin? :p you can solve that by weight reduction. your car might be too heavy in the back or something im not too sure myself.

balance the throttle dont just hammer it all the way with full lock counter steer, feather the throttle and when you feel the back of the car spinning then you counter

this looks like it's been done with rewinds and not skill....

at 1:07, there are tire marks on the ground that are in the exact same place as where the car goes.....

is that not evidence of using rewinds??

@storma1 In replay you can rewind/forward by pressing a button. You can also rewind/forward on the fly with throttle and brake. You can even forward very slowly by pressing throttle gently to see how run would look in slow motion. If you rewind a little (1-3 corners back) then the skid marks will stay on the screen (or at least it stayed in older build, hopefully they fix it with new patch). Besides I remembered not to do this in my newer movies (tsuiso trip, maximum angle & speed and others).

Have you actually ever seen a Drift video? Please do and you'll find that they constantly "skidding" and accelerating through each corner and setting up each drift. Where as here, he doesn't have enough hp to set up the next drift, he has to power up all the way up to the corner then "skid".

Car is in different versions as those are my very first forza 3 replays and drifting, so you can see how car changed over the time. It was pretty low powered across the whole video though. For example, first scene is stock, on proving grounds it's lightly tuned, on tsukuba it's stock or almost stock and with "option" decal it is lightly/mid tuned.

Forza two was insane underground on regular tracks with no points going backwards so itd last forever.

its difficult to explain really, once u have the power in the car then it will most likely be happy to drift, but then you just need to experiment with tyre pressures and camber setting to tweak it to make it the best for you.

On Forza Motorsport 3 they use the JDM Nissan Silvia S14 Zenki, a 240sx would have the 240SX emblem on the back, plus the driver would be on the left side. In this video the driver is on the right.

3. Physics are very good, especially tire physics. The thing with forza 3 is, that replays don't make physics look as good as they really are. More than that - game sometimes loses track of cars in replays, and you will see the car "lag" from time to time. It simply f eels much better than it looks.

4. No going back to LFS for me, unless the devs do something really wicked with new physics update (ie. remove soap tire) and maybe add more steering lock.

And when you watch a car racing in real life, you dont see the half of what the car is actually doing. Most of the time, depending on the driver, it looks like a smooth ride on the limit. Inside the car it is a completely different story, and I think this game got that down pretty well.

1. Drifting with msff, it is really good in forza 3. Not the "nudge nudge" wheel drifting as in f2. Hovewer the wheel itself isn't anything close to g25 quality.

2. Used stock tires in stock spec and the sportier tires with lightly tuned spec. Front tires upgraded to widest.

hey, just curious as to how you have a full counter steer and you can still hold the drift throughout the turn. do you just use the throttle to control your angle? whenever i try the car just does a 180 lol.

i love helping out other drifters :) ok well first off use manual 2nd you have to counter steer and dont keep it it stiff you have to keep going left/right when counter steering...just tap the stick left or right...also use the brake to maintain angle so you dont wipe out and...ease on the throttle...also just tap it and dont keep in down enless you know you can keep it down...

It does look stiff, the reason for that is the physics engine. The physics in this game still lacks the weight and body roll effects, but it's still a great game! The customization is top notch and it's way better than Forza 2, the only thing that I don't like about this game is the physics alone, but everything is fine except for some small bugs.
