there is no way to legally obtain live snakeheads in the U.S.! but if you still want one you need to find a lake/river system somewhere that it has been sadly introduced, catch one and keep it. but another things you need to know is snakeheads are not native to the US and are not in all lakes/rivers.

DO NOT RELEASE SNAKE HEAD INTO LAKES/RIVER SYSTEMS, IT'S ILLEGAL AND IF YOU DO SO YOU WILL RUIN THE ECOSYSTEM AND FACE A HUGE FINE AND/OR TIME IN PRISON!

1. tank is too small, 2. no place to hide for the channa, 3. channa micropeltes gets over 1m, so your tank will be too small anyway, 4. arowana needs bigger tank, 5. these fish are not only for feeding shows, 6. read before you buy any kind of fish.

not all channa (snakeheads) get that big. there are small and middle size species, which you can keep in a tank. I have tanks at home with 2 species of channa. they don't get bigger than 30cm.
