Paler skin has to do with living away from the equator and having less exposure to ultravoilet rays. There really is no true "baseline" for humans because we adapt to our environments. People that live closer to the equator have darker skin, people that further have lighter skin. There are a few exceptions to this rule based on a populations diet.

I know that that some Vitiligo patients use creams for the use you mentioned. But the problem is that MJ never started getting porcelain white blotches which he evened out with make-up matching his original color. He lightened up EVENLY. I think Lee Thomas is a great guy. I personally have known 2 black people with Vitiligo, one was a chaplain in the Air Force. I have also known 3 caucasions with it too. Read the description. The person has no idea what they're talking about. Vitiligo is when patches of the skin have NO pigment in them AT ALL. White people, with the exception of albinos, have some pigment in their skin. Vitiligo didn't bring white people into existance.
In addition to that, vitiligo isn't really genetic. It's thought that the chances of a couple with vitiligo having a baby with vitiligo is about 2%.

I have read in MJs biography that he did bleach his skin with and over the counter whitening cream called porcelina, alot of people use it to lighten their skin, but michael did have viltigo, the porcelina was used to speed up the process of him turning completly white, he wasnt patchy due to the amount of make-up he used to cover it. Look at the "Bad" video and compare it to the "Thriller" video. He was several shades EVENLY lighter. Then do the same with "Bad" versus "Black or White", and "Black or White" versus "You Are Not Alone". He shaded up evenly, which is NOT how vitiligo progresses. Vitiligo manifests itself with porcelain white patches. The extent of these patches differ from individual to individual. MJ NEVER had this.

But the problem is that MJ never started getting porcelain white blotches which he evened out with make-up matching his original color. He lightened up EVENLY. If one to were to follow your distorted logic then he must have used creams(during the "Bad" era for example when he still had rather dark skin but not as dark as before) that were lighter than his original color before he finally became white.

I think Lee Thomas is a great guy. I personally have known 2 black people with Vitiligo, one was a chaplain in the Air Force. I have also known 3 caucasions with it too. Not exclusive to African descendants. I suppose it is just more obvious. As they said no known cause or cure. I don't know if MJ had this condition, but it is obvious that he went the other way than Lee Thomas. Perhaps his case showed more wide spread than Lee.

The botom line, is that you have no idea what you are talking about. Thriller is the greatest selling record of all time, by a LONG shot. Way more than any Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones record, maybe even more than all of their records combined.
You are probably just a rock guy, and that's all you listen to, so I don't expect you to get it. MJ's catalogue is filled with masterclass material, whether you think it's "corny" or not.
