What a treat! Such an intriguing sopranist voice. To answer khbgkh's comments.. terminology is always debatable in non-standard (as well generic!) vocal discussions. The general consensus is that a sopranist (or sopraniste, or sopranista) is a male singer who navigates the high soprano range. Either in modal voice or reinforced falsetto. There are some tension and force issues happening, and I must be concerned about his long term vocal health, but really quite an exciting sound.

He's not a sopranist! Sopranists voice reaches higher notes. Tomotaka has the voice of a Contralto, but I don't now de name of this voice for men...

Technically, Okamoto most certainly is a Sopranist; try to find other of his recordings, such as "Nessun dorma" to hear the greater range of his voice. Are you thinking of countertenor?
