  • After 30 years, only two words: "Never Again."

  • I watched this video back in 2008 when I was looking at colleges, and this is one of the main reason I moved to Columbia. Rewatching I've realized its the same production company as Box Elder.

  • i live in columbia and he is all rong

  • Como!!

  • the transportation is so bad .. i hate this city

  • 9th street is probably the most interesting part of Columbia..

  • Cool Stuff!!!

Are Shakespeare's Pizza, Streetside Records, George's, Parkade Plaza, Biscayne Mall, and Cool Stuff still open?? I used to shoot pool at a hall by the university, Is that Chinese place still open in the old Bye George dance club?

    Lots of memories down there.

  • @gravelandgrain100, by george has been closed for several years, the chinese place went under many years ago too, was a brewery for a while after that. I think you are thinking of Booches on 9th street. It is still there. The rest you mentioned are all still there.

  • @gravelandgrain100 No, Biscayne Mall became a outdoor mall a couple years age, some big names but tacky all together. Parkade Centers is now just a few random things smooshed together. Like a hardware store and a community college. And Shakespeare's has two locations, while Streetside moved down two blocks.

  • Look at everyone talk about the CPD...got nothing better to do? C'mon CoMO is an amazing town.

  • Interesting video. I would like to visit someday, but I'm afraid now because of that video where the Columbia police terrorize a family and shoot their dogs.

  • surprised you didn't

catch in police brutality on that time lapse,

the only thing people outside are going to think

about this town is your shitty ass redneck cops,

too bad you made all these pointless videos.

  • I don't know what large cities you have been to, but Columbia is not even close to having the things an actual big city would. Old buildings do not make a big city. History, yes columbia has that, but I would not compare it to a big city in any regards. I lived there for 10 plus years. If you come to columbia from a small town, then yes it may seem big.

  • A lot of buildings that have been here for 75 years, he says.

"No!!! Surely not, no. No one was alive then!" (Eddie Izzard)

  • Yall shouldve shown da ghetto part on da north side

  • continuing from my last post...

The only fly in the ointment that Columbia has is when you get close to the summer season, the weather is awful-very muggy and hot(super uncomfortable) Boo hiss on Columbia College that they didn't put central air conditioning in the older dorms as it would of made life easier. However, I still have my love for Columbia Missouri. Its a wonderful town to live if you want a big city with a small town flavor. I loved the pizza parlors. this continues next post

  • @axjmd -

Columbia College-second gayest to CMSU and that's a gay guy speaking!

If I were to college in Columbia it'd be UMC all the way.

    Go Tigers!!!!

  • I went to Columbia College over by 10th and Rogers and stayed in St. Claire hall when the top floor was all residential. The views when I changed mid term to my single room was awesome. I had a south facing room 3 floors from the ground and you could see for miles from my room. I am continuing on next post...

  • Im CoMo fo sho i love this town. Couldnt think of a better place or better people to raise a family around.

  • You're a complete idiot. We have a Flying Saucer in downtown Kansas City. It's not that big a deal man. Obviously you don't get around much. Every city out there has at least one, and usually numerous bars that specialize in serving a massive variety of beer. That gimmick is not new and it's not unique to hick ass Fort Worth.

  • I love this town, this video is very on top of the surface though,,

  • Ultimate college town, yes. Four or five colleges after MU, Stevens, and CC, no. Please don't count Moberly Area Community College.

  • Ultimate college town! University of Missouri, Stevens University, Columbia College, and about 4 or 5 more colleges in the area. Lovely area of the country, too. Caves, rivers, trails... Love it!

  • Downtown Columbia I waaaay more exciting than this video....

  • Agree. Plus in the start of the video they say 100k people in CoMO and what, 25k at MU? Last I checked there were about 90k in Columbia and 40k undergrads at Mizzou alone. Oh, and comedy clubs... Plural? Really? Where's the second one?

    Still miss it though.

  • I've travelled a lot internationally and after living in COMO for 2 years for an internship can say that Mid-MO is the most culturally impoverished place on the planet where the people are so clueless that they think their town is culturally diverse and that they live in a progressive community save the 3 WalMarts and and nuclear power plants.

  • growing up in fulton, como is like a meka

  • I was looking for a video about Columbia to put on my blog, and I came across yours. Although extremely boring, and over produced, I thought I would still use it because I needed something now; but I then noticed you have the embedded option disabled. Your production is not worthy of protection in the first place. Secondly, by letting people use your code you actually get free promotion of your video and yourself on the web. A piece of advice, get with the times.

  • Pretty cool. I love Columbia. And I swear there is a shot of Columbia Independent School kids playing kickball on the Stephen's lot, but I could be mistaken. I amused myself with finding CIS shots, since I'm a student there. ^_^ Very cool to see all the places I know so well.
