Anyways, the stock bottom end, with a crazy-done top end can get over 700. My Dad's friend has one with a stock bottom end (however, the crank was removed and re-balanced with the engine; but stock nonetheless) and aluminum heads, roller rockers (the works, basically), and it is making 711hp and 746tq on a conservative tune. Its in a '62 F-100 Unibody.
@B0SSNINE i am going to fix it soon. i might get a aftermarket 390 so i can add. crank. pistons. cam. heads. i want maybe 500 hp. i have to see my friend. hes an expert in race cars. i need to know how much hp i can put in the tbird before i wreck the frame from too much hp. the tbird has 300 stock hp
how much hp can a ford 390 handle?
