I first heard this song when I was six years old. It was on an old record player and I decided to fire the turn table up. This song played and I got addicted to Elvis really fast. I still go sit in the garage and play this record on that same record player. =D

It is incredible that RCA missed I Want You I Need You I Love You on the 30 Number One Hits CD. This deserved to be on that great CD. It sold more than others that were included on the disc.

Exactly. I think the reason was that this track was his 2nd single for RCA and it wasn't such a big hit as "Hotel", "Cruel", "Dog" or "Tender". I mean, it's like RCA wanted to have huge huge hits at the beginning of that disc.

Also consider that this song wasn't that big in the UK (it barely made the Top 20 there).

In my opinion, RCA should have reject "Wooden Heart" (a non-US single that is not that great) and replace it with this wonderful track. One of my faves from the King.
