i agree with what you said about Cotto's trainer. crucial decisions should have been made to make a difference especially in the later rounds which Joe Santiago did nothing, not much encouragement given to Cotto and strategy adjustment. all he did was ask cotto to dance around and if he could still give him another round. A great fighter like Cotto deserves the best coach/trainer. Santiago lacks much of an experience to handle Cotto

Do you really think that Cotto or even Pacquiao needs advice once the fight starts? These 2 beasts have been fighting for a long time. I doubt that any boxer really listens to his corner in between rounds I'm sure that when boxers find themselves in a punching exchange they're not thinking, they're just reacting. The corner can give insight or remind a fighter to stick to the plan but I don't think most listen. Anyway, Cotto wins by KO in the mid rounds.

i agree with what you said about Cotto's trainer. crucial decisions should have been made to make a difference especially in the later rounds which Joe Santiago did nothing, not much encouragement given to Cotto and strategy adjustment. all he did was ask cotto to dance around and if he could still give him another round. A great fighter like Cotto deserves the best coach/trainer. Santiago lacks much of an experience to handle Cotto

Do you really think that Cotto or even Pacquiao needs advice once the fight starts? These 2 beasts have been fighting for a long time. I doubt that any boxer really listens to his corner in between rounds I'm sure that when boxers find themselves in a punching exchange they're not thinking, they're just reacting. The corner can give insight or remind a fighter to stick to the plan but I don't think most listen. Anyway, Cotto wins by KO in the mid rounds.

i don't know about cotto if he listen,but manny if you watch his fight against dela hoya and hatton he fought them two fighters in different ways.thats is why pacquiao is p4p now.freddie and manny work together,they respect each other,that is why i say pacquiao listen to his trainer.i bet cotto listen too by changing trainer he is also aware that his uncle is not capable of solving roach and pacman combination.

the obvious angle is Roach. Roach is the best trainer who even predicted how fights would end. So its simple. Will roach let manny fight cotto if they havn't figure cotto out? no way

My point is/was that the fighters don't need ANYONE to tell them what to do once the fight starts. More over, I don't think they need a "corner". They know how to fight and once in the ring strategies go out the window. Don't believe me? Watch Pac fight. When he gets hit he goes wild. He hasn't been in a fight for a while. Team Pac has been very good at picking fights lately. He is entertaining to watch fight but he has HUGE flaws. Most notable one is that he leaves himself when he jumps in.
