The stupid thing is the supposed points he tries to make about intolerance in the US. It would be hard for anyone to tolerate most of what he does in this movie.

The real pitiful part is the obviously staged scenes in which the punch line is supposed to be honest reactions. He did fool someone; the people who payed to see this.

I liked Borat, it wasn't great but it was funny to watch with friends. But Bruno was awful. A bunch of us went to watch it in theater and it was so awkward that is wasn't even funny, it made me fell embarrassed to be watching it. Especially the WAY over the top gay parts.

Cohen like all comedians and entertainers have a very simple, and universal goal in mind. To make people laugh and entertain them. Lately there has been to much pressure put on comedians to have what could be called "Moral" comedy. Not every film that has homosexual jokes in it needs to be so "Pro gay", and try to help gay rights. If you find the film funny and entertaining , and if it took you away from your problems for awhile. Its done its job.

The movie is strictly for comedic purposes. Cohen is a comedian and entertainer first. His goal is to push the limits of comedy. Because in comedy there cannot be a middle ground. Either everything is funny or nothing is funny. The way the world works, how there is so much poverty, and so many people that don't even have a chance at a decent life. Because they never had access to decent education to be smart enough to even try to get a college or university degree.

The sketches with Bruno on Tha Ali G show are much funnier, when he interviews the dumbest people out of the fashion industry. That's much better stuff than all the offensive things he does in this movie.

I still have not seen this film. I don't even really want to. At least with Borat, everyone did the stupid impressions so much that I had to go check it out to see what the hell they were talking about. Not this time. The local theater put up signs saying you couldn't get your money back if you purchased tickets to see Bruno. Some buyer beware type shit. Watch at your own risk.

I thought the movie was alright. I did not feel that much offended because I figured that people would realize that this is only a dramatization. But I still dislike homophobes, they have absolutely no reason to hate people for something they have no control over.

Anyway, even though the movie was somewhat long, I expected a little more from it so it seemed as if it were short. It was not a complete disappointment but I felt empty after seeing this. 5.6/10.
