This Is so cool just started with pic last week and thanks to people like you with hex files on line I'm already having a blast ! Thanks alot :) PS. very nice program It's a keeper for sure.
The website says 9-12 volts is okay. Do you know if the circuit will be okay if the voltage is a little higher @13-14 volts because of a vehicle's alternator/generator voltage? I bought the assembly kit a few days ago!
it's too bad that this is probably too technical for a non circuit builder to re-create, but this is EXACTLY the kind of LED controller i'd love for a bike system with different color LEDs.
i'll probably have to settle for simpler "blinker" circuits.
a very nice project. Still some improvements can be made. You can add a condenser mic, a preamp, low-pass filter so that the patterns can change (and react) while the music is playing. (Driving 100W/220V bulbs can make a disco-like mood in your room ;) )
It is a standalone device using predefined patterns. If you check the website out it is described in detail along with the firmware and information on creating your own sequences (if you have some technical knowledge)
Pretty cool. I would like to make a similar circuit using Triacs and a zero crossing to run 110V lights. Zero Crossing would cause an interupt and then you can control the intensity of each 110V ac lamp.
the code on your page is wrong, there are many files which one have to compile and if you manage to see [after many minutes] the message "Built success" and get a CORRECT hex file, then the chip remains black. Nice design but bad explained.
The prblem was me, my lack of knowledge and part ofmy hardwr, which wasnot properly set. Totaly newbye andnot giving too much of importance to the CORRECT voltage app to the JDM, which isagreat progr tool.
I fixed the prblem&learnd how to precisely control al the "outs" of the628A where we can attach aLED in 3 days.
I appologize again. Ur a great pro and a great man; not evrybdy share knwledge the clear way youdo
Please consider circumstances.Have a Happy New Year

@dubhippy all you need to know is how to solder and you need a good soldering iron. Their website has good instructions.

cool, complex patterns, how do you write this?.

that works just as predefined patterns, or is it controlled by a PC ? {looks like just predefined patterns}
