  • this dosent realy make any sens to me ive tryed this but it dosent work

  • hi gunner-i`m a commercial fisherman and just a thought for filling a needle (on most twisted twines it matters little but on some it will) when you are filling a needle don`t always turn it one way-it introduces a twist- and the lighter the twine, the more there is on a needle the more twist you will introduce-fill the needle one side-go to the other side, then reverse back to the first side so the needle only goes from 180 degrees, back to 180 degrees-good videos by the way !

  • @restlesswave that`s a good tip !

  • In the US go to Janns Netcraft for tackle and net making supplies and equipment.

  • awsome tutorial can you tell me where I can get the same needle you are using. I have a small hardwood needle for small meshes that my father made years ago. I can't seem to find the nylon / plastic larger needles.

    thanks in advance

  • @funkyspunkmuffins Have a look at the website of Arthur Carter , cheap and fast delivery

  • dose the size of the needle have anything to do with the size or spacing on the net because i made my own needle and i want to know before i start making it

  • Your video was well done, I liked how you toke the time to explain the steps and it was very helpfully.

  • That is, what size needle and ring would be needed to make the aforementioned trellis netting?

  • Excellent vids, thanks for taking the time. What size needle would I need to make trellis netting with 4" square spaces?

    Cheers!

  • I mostly make eel nets

ferreting is nice we've done it in holland!

  • @kederk thats cool do u know if the needle size has anything has anything to do with the size or spacing of the net

  • @jhale4561 The mesh measure governs the size of the meshes , if you are making a net with small meshes then you need a small needle because a large loaded needle would not fit thru the meshes , and for a large meshed net you will use a large needle because you would be forever running out of twine on a small needle meaning the finished net would have many joins

  • @jhale4561

No, the spacing in the net depends on the size of the stich you'r using.

  • going to make my own needle from cardboard and toothpick D:D:D:D:D:D i have no idea were to buy em here

  • E bay

  • totaly worth 5***** nice vid thank you!

  • could you do this without the needle? or will it become too complicated or something?
