I wish there was a Star Wars game where you control just the Lightsaber, similar to Wii Sports Resort sword fighting only with Jedi force powers! That would be cool!
There was a game from Hasbro that actually had a toy lightsaber. There was a camera that tracked what motion you made with the toy lightsaber and the camera put it into the gameplay. There was 7 stages and the first time you played it, you start as a padawan.
...That's why Hasbro improved it. It's at their catalog website. I can't remember where exactly, otherwise I put post a URL. The improved version actually has more variety has in what your enemies do. I would reccemend using a mouse though, to play it.
But were not talking about the force unleashed. We are talking about a Hasbro product that we both (Jogni and I) purchased. That is funny that you thought that though, and for that,I wont get upset. Go to the site and check out the documentaries though, and those out. I can make some opinion about that, and its awesome what they do with it.
Lik Okaruwazashi said, the Wii Remote is very sensitive. I've noticed the same with Wii Sports. Also, with Warioware, on the minigames where it goes "Oh man, enemy." You have to control a sword, and sometimes it's a little too sensitive, but this can easily be fixed in the programming.
If you play Wii Sports baseball you'll see that before you make a swing you can shift the remote around however you like and your on screen equivalent will mirror your movements all but perfectly.
The same goes in Wii Sports boxing, just try moving your arms around naturally and you may be pleasantly surprised by the level of control :)
I'm pretty sure the Wii can't handle picking up your EXACT moves and reproducing them realisticaly. I haven't seen it do that yet. It still just picks up sudden bumps you do with the remote and it "feels" the same, but it's not. This kind of let me down with my Wii :(
I agree the Wii wouldn't be able to copy your EXACT movement, that would take a crazy amount of animations.
I do disagree that it picks up sudden bumps, you just need to get the hang of it. I see people play Wii sports golf, with putting they try to do the same as they do with a driver and it just suddenly bumps forwards. When you actually immitate a putter, it works perfectly. Wii boxing though; ugh!
This guy doesn't deserve a thumbs down on his comment, it wasn't even an attack!
i like the innovation of the wii and i wonder how it will work ( would have got it if it wans't out of stock and halo 3) but i like 360 2 its easier on the eyes
Nothing. If it had force detection it would be great, but unfortunately that's too expensive to manufacture in the hundreds of thousands. Anyway, martial arts isn't just about using the sword, half of it is the footwork. Don't expect to have many, if any, great battles. Expect a lot of "Star Wars Kid" 's
Heh... Im sure this is fake, LucasArts usually has anything real yanked off youtube immediately for copyright infringement... But its a very cool concept and LucasArts have confirmed they have been "looking into it" when asked about a wii starwars game...
And even better, let you shut off the lightsaber and use force and stuff like that, and having full range motion to do punches and stuff while fighting off either Jedi or Sith :D. Hell, it'd be fun to deflect blaster shots back at thugs, this will be one of Nintendo's biggest breakouts if it gets out. :)

Yes it won't but it has a controller far superior to the other consoles controller and it can take advantage of it.

you're not going to swing it at each other. They will have a way. Don't you worry about it.

It would be cool if u had to hold down the bottom trigger to turn on the saber and hold it, and the nunchucks should act as the force.
