  • Neils version is wonderful... such expression... so much feeling...thank you.

  • So that everybody this song was originally in french !

(and may I say better in french)

  • Não desmereço Neil Diamond, ele é maravilhoso, e a música... sem comentários.Tantos grandes gravaram, isto é bom gosto.

  • O compositor Jacques Brel considerou a interpretação de Maysa , a melhor. Grandes divas já haviam gravadoi, entre elas, Piaf.

  • Ahhhh Neal Diamond, such a sultry soulful voice of emotions....Love him....

  • Wow, so very beautiful~

  • Thanks for sharing this stunning rendition of this amazing song. I heard a version of it by a former friend of mine a couple of years ago that totally blew me away; it included some lyrics from Mr. McKuen that are not a part of this wonderful performance: "I would have been the shadow of your shadow if I thought it might have kept me by your side." I will never forget how it felt to hear my own feelings expressed in another's song, in a voice so real and full of emotion. And then he went away...

  • The original French version by Jaques Brel is better particularly when sung by NIna Simone

  • of all the versions this one is the best! i love neil diamond voice! very moving. it's like he's talking to you.

  • Thank you so much. Brgds.

  • The original composer and songwriter is the Belgian Artist Jacques Brel, with his version called Ne Me Quitte Pas. ( lit. translation: Don't leave me)

  • thanks so much, beautiful

  • you're welcome.

    brgds.

  • Thank you very much. Thank You!

  • You're welcome,

    Brgds.

  • I defy anyone to say that there is a better musical version than this from any other artist...I think the production was Tom Catalano who was an early flag flyer of Neil's talent the others who worked on it could have been Lee Holdridge but I could be wrong

  • Thanks for the compliments.

  • Thanks Brando for sharing 5*

and yes the sound is better now

wow..how much I love this song

    Greetings

    Yael
