my god why has this been done in either the PS1,2, or 3 generation?!?!?!?!? This game is still rad and if anyone remembers the 3D holographic game that Luke and Chewbacca were playing aboard the Millenium Falcon, that game should come to light now we have the PS3 and XBOX360! Come on developers. There's a market for both games!
There's a remake coming, google "Archon Evolution." It's been picked up by a developer called "React!" Coming to PC and possibly consoles somewhere in 2009 apparently.

Much of the game's fun was figuring out how to use your weakest units to defeat the strongest ones. Ah, good times...
