I've run this half twice and the full marathon twice. It's a terrific race and I recommend it highly. I have not run it since the changes to the first half and I like what I see! More in the park and less of the subdivisions. Hope it can work into my fall race schedule!
I ran this last year. As mentioned, the course has changed for 2009 - it looks to have more winds and turns, but it was clearly marked last year. Just be aware that it's a long out and back the second half ... The few hills weren't bad at all.
The course is almost completely flat except for in the park on the back side of the park by duck pond there are some rolling hills, but they aren't too bad
I've run it a number of times. They have changed the course some this year, but you will not get lost. There are markings on the road and there will be volunteers at intersections. Just follow the crowd and you'll be fine.
This is going to be my first marathon and I am so psyched! Someone please tell me I am not going to get lost, though. Anyone run this marathon before?
