The chipmunks are such a rip-off of happy hardcore (european techno from the mid 90's and on). Just a pop version of it.

Check out some stuff from Scooter like Friends and Posse. It was also used ad nauseum by happy hardcore remix/rip-off DJ's around 2002-2005 like DJ Rankin.

Awesome! I think the chipettes should be with their respective counterpart on the posters because they also play a large part in the movie. Despite it being called 'Alvin and The Chipmunks' Bagdasarian realised back in the 80-s that the chipettes played a large part by renaming the series just 'The Chipmunks' and the Chipettes were the main characters aswell as the munks. I like this oundtrack since the chipettes do a lot more songs, most likely making up for the first movie xD
