  • Lovin the puns

dont get advertising like this any more!

  • I remember when theses were re released. Doritos even had a hand in promoting them with stickers in each bag of their chips.

  • GASP!!!!!

  • Long Live Universal!!!!!

  • This Is From 1990

  • Scary, Huh?

  • FTW

  • OMG!

  • LOL

  • BOO!!!!!

  • Happy Halloween!!!!!

  • No matter what anyone else may say or think; the Universal Studios Monsters have always and will always be the true masters of the horror film genre. Yes, some of today's horror movies are good like 30 Days of Night, Cloverfield and Paranormal Activity.

But without Karloff, Lugosi, Chaney Sr, Chaney Jr and others at the time; modern horror films wouldn't be as good as they are. But that's just me, I'm sorry if I may offend or instigate anyone

  • Can someone please send me a message with all the ones here that are on dvd

  • They all bring back so many memories

  • Which Movie is this add from

  • When I get the time and money, I will collect every single one of these tapes.

  • Own everyone. Frankenstein is my favorite and yes there were more released. There were 37 in all. The ones not mentioned include Island of Lost Souls, Invisible Woman, Ghost of Frankenstein, Invisible Agent, Mummy's Ghost, Mummy's Curse, House of Dracula, Revenge of the Creature, Creature Walks Among Us, Monster and the Girl, Man Made Monster, Captive Wild Woman, Mad Ghoul, Invisible Man's Revenge, and House of Horrors.

  • @crissrudd4554

I counted 72 films in total released from 1923-1960, and that's if you include silent films, lost films, the Abbot and Costello Crossovers, 50s B-Movies, Spanish Language Versons, and Silent-Sound Remakes. There are 73 if you include 1913's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde which Universal released under it's original name, Independent Moving Picture Company, and 79 if you include the remake of Dracula in 1979, Van Helsing, the remakes of Mummy and wolf-man and the sequals to the Mummy

  • @snakes3425 Ok thats good however I was only speaking of the films that were only part of this collection i.e. the classic collection. Good insight though

  • @crissrudd4554 MMM HMM

  • @crissrudd4554 I forgot to mention in regards to my comment about the films not mentioned in this preview is that Mummy's Tomb is another film not mentioned here.

  • how many of the Classic Collection VHS tapes are there or are these just it?

  • Thanks for putting this up. It is amazing to see this. I wish I could get all of these on VHS rather than DVD. Thanks again man

  • this brings back nostalgia

  • 15 bucks?

  • I have, out of all of these, Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The Invisible Man, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Son of Frankenstein, Frankenstein meets The Wolfman, and House of Frankenstein. Also, the ones on this that I do not have are, Ghost of Frankenstein, and House of Dracula. And, can anyone tell me where to get The Revenge of the Creature ALONE AND ON DVD BY IT'S SELF?????????????

  • @123peytonE amazon.com

  • @UniversalMonsterFan That didn't help.

  • @123peytonE why not, you just type in amazon.com, select movies and dvds, then type in the film title and I'm sure you can find these relatively cheap, but some havent been released by themselves like House of Dracula.Revenge of the Creature is very eas to find.

  • sweet!! :)

  • I did a more recent one just write universal monster legacy collection

  • I have to say the 75th Anniversary DVD editions of Dracula and Frankenstein have a far better picture and sound quality than you'll get on videotape people, Be sure to get yours before next Halloween.

  • @cha5 I agree the picture quality of the 75th anniversary DVDs are definitely the best prints of Dracula and Frankenstein since the films are nearly 80 years old but the sound is what bugs me. Dracula sounds like it was being played on a radio and Frankenstein sounds like a TV version. I actually had my Classic Collection VHS versions burnt to DVD and they actually sound better. Also the 1999 DVDs of those movies have better sound. So for sound go for the 1999 DVDs and for picture the 75th DVDs.

  • @crissrudd4554 The two biggest problems I had with my 1999 DVD releases of Dracula and Frankenstein were that the audio track was missing at least two rather key bits from the films,

    1. In Dracula when he's at the opera house in London and first meets Dr Steward and Lucy, Jonathan Harker and Mina and Bela gives us the classic line "There are far worse things than death, awaiting man" an ominous bit of Wagnerian opera music comes in just then, it's missing from my 1999 Dracula DVD but it was

  • @crissrudd4554 Cont

corrected and restored to the 75th anniversary Dracula DVD

    2. My copy of the 1999 Frankenstein DVD has the essential restored Colin Clive dialog in the creation scene in which he screams

"NOW I KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE GOD!" missing, completely drowned out by thunder,

The 75th anniversary Frankenstein DVD restores this bit.

So just myself I probably have to go with the 75th anniversary set for both audio and picture quality.

  • @cha5 1. Thats interesting. I'll check that out. If you have the 2004 legacy DVD you'll notice Dracula's death groan is gone but is heard on the 1999 and 75th DVDs.

    2. On every Frankenstein DVD I've seen the full "Now I know...." line is intact but is only half heard on my VHS. He goes "Now I know what it-" and is cut off by thunder yet his mouth keeps moving. Also, while I think the 1999 audio is a bit more clear than the 75th, it is a tad quiet requiring volume adjustment for sound enjoyment.

  • Love the commercial but the vid/sound quality is just horrid man (obvisouly filmed right off a TV screen lol). Don't you have a capture card or anything?

  • The cases are so colorful and cool looking. I wish I had them.

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. I've done another clip on some old cigarette cards of 1930's actors and actresses: Boris Karloff, Gracie Fields, Florence Desmond, Boris Karloff from The Mummy, Charles Laughton, Laurence Olivier and many more.

  • I'm still waiting for the dvd release of

    The Island Of Lost Souls,

Come on Universal get on the ball!

  • At first I was blown away that someone had this on youtube. Then I realized it was you. Who the fuck else would have this? Amazing
