  • love the video man

  • you have some great stuff here

  • Talents like Paul Potts are born once in 100-500 years.

  • Paul pots Just Proved No matter where you work or wat you do

if you have a dream go for it

  • Mr.Potts, I will NEVER tire of listening to you(and believe me..I am hard core rock!lol) You are so deserving of all rewards you recieve!!! (YOU are responsible for me listening to opera!!!! Unfreakingbelievable!)

  • I will NEVER tire of this wonderful mans voice!!!!! God bless you...you certainly have blessed us!!

  • love yah paul from canada

  • Stll get tears of joy listeningto/watching Paul Potts and his story! I believe God gives all humans these types of gifts ..not just the rich and beautiful!!! it's the passion and practice that make it possible to share the gift with the world! thankyou Paul Potts and the world for recognizing you!

  • Greetings from Norway! And Congratulations Paul!

  • I am so annoyed at the attitude of the so called opera critics, Paul i am so glad you are not an opera singer, Mate you are a Pop singer, "Pop " is an abreviation of Popular...The amount of hits on U Tube, record sales, number of countries your music has gone to number one........Yep your definatley a "Pop" singer, keep singing what makes you happy, and what makes the people that love to watch you sing happy, Hope your Wife & yourself have a long & happy life, enjoy your success..well earned

  • There are people who spend their life and fortune on voice lessons with the most prestigious schools and teachers, and still fall short of what this man has achieved. That is why it's called, "talent". That Paul is a regular guy who had to struggle and almost missed his chance but for the toss of a coin touches a cord in all of us - a nice guy can win in life, and it's about time.

  • when one wins Britian has talent then they can be a credit.. but I guess jeaoulsy will always be a condender..... Well done Paul.. when some sells 2 million albums then let me be a credit.

  • I never thought I'd see Simon hug someone-not that I think him callous, I just know that some people like "their bubble"-their personal space, and Simon just seemed like that type of person to me. This whole program has been fun to watch, and I enjoyed seeing the friendship (in a business sense) between Paul and Simon. God bless you, Paul. He certainly gave you a wonderful voice. Congrats!

  • i always get amazed with the stories like this. it's like a male version of cinderella ))))

  • him and susan boyle, two great stories, very inspiring.

  • Did he have to walk home? xD

  • @Mazza4Azza thats what i was thinking........wheres he going?

  • @mrspawkala

xD He enjoyed those 20 minutes drive to 10 Downing st in that lovely car - unfortunately he couldn't get to keep it :/

  • @Mazza4Azza By now he can probably afford one!

  • @TheDeputySpadeETOK

Definitely! What a great life he must have. Must be a pain with the opera critics breathing down his neck, though.

  • Paul was so like a little kid when he came out after performing! He looked so nervous but so proud of himself. Well done Paul!

  • When I lose faith in humanity I watch Paul's audition. It reminds me that there is some good in the world.

  • I did not know opera untill I heard him singing. I love his voice, I now love opera and I love his humility!

  • VINCEROOOOOOOOOOOOO...

  • i watched this guy over and over again. he is juz so lovable!

  • I can't think of a nicer person to represent Britain. I wish the "music critics" would stop attacking the man. You cannot compare him with a professional opera singer who has been formally trained for years. Still, Paul has introduced millions to opera. No, when you see Paul in concert you are not seeing an opera, no more than when you saw Pavarotti sing Nessun Dorma were you seeing the whole opera. Jeeze, people! Chill. He's a nice, normal man with tremendous talent.

  • oh my gosh i got goosebumps on my scalp

  • Ahh poor Paul - At least Simon could have given him a ride home at the end.

  • esse cara é um warrior!

  • STILL AN INSPIRATION

  • I love Paul. He's so humble and down to earth and you know he has a heart of gold. A true inspiration for all of us around the world.

  • Thanks for posting this so us Yanks could enjoy it too. The internet is our only exposure to BGT.

They should put it on BBC America. How much more Gordon Ramsey do I have to turn the channel on?

  • thank you for posting this, a really nice contribution, great quality, shame on those that simply do not enjoy talent, of course anyone would need coaching at that level, times change, we grow older but let us hope that youtube continues to offer us the many splendid talents that are always out there, thank you

  • @Mossimus07 british historical revisionism or are you just being dramatic? lol

  • @Mossimus07 Are you kidding? Pavaratti owns this song. Paul won a talent contest with dancing pigs as competition. That said , Paul did kind a very credabile job. Wonderful back story.

  • thank you Paul for never giving up.

    Jimmy Rule

  • Paul potts is nothing like Susan Boyle performance tiwce royalty show. She

  • Tx for pusting this,

i RLY like Paul bekoz have Good soul and ima happy Good guys are not last

  • From America, I want to say screw the snobs who are simply jelous and miffed that someone has stepped into their elitist class without possessing their self proclaimed pedigree. Talent is talent, I dont care where you come from. Paul has proven to the world that he has it. No one gets this kind of world wide reaction and success in something as difficult as opera unless they have talent.

Last I would admit, I dont even like opera - but I cannot deny Paul has made me look twice-Awesome!!!

  • If God could sing, He would have a voice like Mr. Potts. And I agree with Binjou48

Paul Potts is one of the best things, I've ever seen in television. No, Hand down it is the best thing. I think this humble man should be nighted by the Queen.

  • Hi Paul,Well mate thats something you never in a million years thought you would ever do,SING in front of the ROYAL FAMILY,then meet the PRIME MINISTER,THEN get PRESENTED with your 2,000,000 cds sold award, what a turn round your life has gone from rough to smooth,I bet you never got rid of that 10p piece.Paul you deserve it all and more you are known world wide, not like some critics.Well Paul you enjoy it all with your lovely wife and know that we your great fans will always be here for you

  • Paul Potts FTW!! (snif)

  • Simon is A DOUCHE AND A P RICK... LOOK AT HIM YOU JUST WANT TO SLAP HIM SILLY ACROSS THE FACE...

  • Well, done Paul...I love it, and I have to say since I have heard you sing Opera..I will buy your CD.. Untied States. Missouri

  • Thank you very much for this 5 part video. I enjoyed it throughly and the insight into Paul was very very interesting. The next time I hear someone (including myself) whine about their situation, I'll think of the success through adversity shown here and gather strength form it.

    thank you,

    Duncan

  • Paul is a master, of Opera. He is the greatest singer in the world. Yeah opera is boring, but try to sing it, maybe one out of 10000 can sing a few notes correctly, but Paul is 1 out of 5 billion. He is the greatest voice on earth. Enjoy and witness this talent in your lifetime, it will be 100 years before another comes around. A voice from heaven. I love BGT and AGT. Hours of fun, check it all out on You Tube. Connie Talbot, Hollie Steel, and Katlin Mayer. Wow now thats entertainment for all.

  • @MrDavidM60506 Have you ever heard of a man called Pavarotti ?

  • A National Treasure. Preserve , support, and protect, this great man and talent.

  • as if he walked home hes a star !!

  • Fabulous documentary!

  • Opera doesnt need critics, it is criticized by the entire world as boring. Begrudge this man for adding a little excitement into the dying obscure world of Opera.

  • Grandiosa voz, espero que venga Mexico y nos deleite con su voz.

    enhorabuena

  • For the chritics of Pauls operatic ability. You really need to look at the whole package of this performance and viewers that view through out the world. You need to get more viewers in those opera houses do you not. Look at Los Angeles version of The Rings Cycle. Thanks

  • yeah your right the guy is awesome and I hate opera but I love listening to him I even brought his album.

  • Bravo Paul, bravo!

  • This should have been done all again with Susan Boyle, but the stinky British Media prevented this beautiful historical event to be repeated again with another fully deserving singer, out of only that psycho destructive negative jealousy that lives inside them unconsciousely.

  • Good for Paul. I agree with Amanda, I can't STAND snobbery. Paul said he loves it that people love what he loves to do (paraphrased!). Great attitude in a great man.

  • For all the critics that said BGT's judges havent ever seen real opera and paul potts has degraded opera, every clap at the end of this performance should like a slap on their faces as the people of royalty know what opera is. Never heard such long applause at royal command. I feel Paul potts did the same thing to opera as Willian Shakespeare did to playwright. Best of luck for your future,Paul !!

  • I am absolutely humbled by this amazing man Paul Potts. He may not have 100% confidence (which he should beccause of his talent and charm) but he has strength. It was a priviledge to watch this 5 part presentation. thank you

  • Paul should have busted Gordon Brown in his mutherfucking Labour mouth!!!!

  • 6:30 he got his teeth fixed??

  • Thank you so much for this videos. It is an outstanding presentation of Paul Potts and not to be forgotten: Simon Piers and Amanda. Hope you do follow up with what happens to Susan Boyle. I have beeing listening to GBT sins I heard of Susan Boyle, and find this wonderful man Paul, and Andrew Johnston, Julian Smith. Sorry that Jamie Pugh did not make it all the way. Thank´s to You Tube for bringing those wonderful talented persons in to my home in Sweden

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • These series was fantastic. Thanks for posting it on Youtube. Paul is such a humble guy, and I'm glad he is who he is. Here's to many more years of singing!

  • Couldn't be happier or prouder of the guy who has come so far in such a short period of time! 3:29..what a great moment for him!

  • outstanding presentation of Paul Potts!

  • I felt the same way about Paul as I did about Susan. They're both up against people who've already got some form of entertainment deal in their back pocket from the show, and they're all very young with their whole life ahead of them. Give the people who never got a chance their opportunity to shine. And the 50 year old person who outperforms a 20 year old person deserves it moreso in my opinion.

This documentary was very inspiring. It's like a movie played out in real life. People need that.

  • That's what I always say to jealous and nasty critiscimors. "Well get on here! Do it! Show us all that you could do it even better than the one your talking down to earth. - I will tell you why, i do say this:

I'm an artist for myself. Not a in stage performance but in the atelier. I'm a sculpurer. My medium are rocks. Every time a rock just speaks to me a will bring out the beauty from its the inner side.- And sometimes their are nasty ones talking in the same way like they talk to Paul.

  • Very inspiring. Well done Paul. The opera snobs are just jealous, that's all. High brow, low brow - who gives a shit? The guy can sing and he's made Britain proud.

Simon also seems like a decent bloke.

  • whatever people say, the truth is God will bless the humble. we need to understand that inspite of his fears paul took the decision to face his fear, and that changed his life. So be humble and trust in God rather than criticizing people who make attempt to change th

  • And just two words for that opera ugly wanker who looks as if he has a 4 x 2 up him, ask yourself who is successful and loved in the world? You, you wanker, or Mr Potts. God I hate persons who think their excrement doesnt smell, and who are ugly with it.

  • A very satisfying piece.

  • Ok that was amazing ! Very emotional.

What a great thing to hear from your prime minister.

"Time to say Goodbye" just did it for me at the end.

  • paul soy de Peru. y no sabes cuanto te admiro man .sigue adelante !!!

  • Paul Potts is totally amazing, a humble man with the voice of a angel. But let us not forget his wonderful wife Julz who nursed him through all his illness & the accident. She stood by him & never complained. God Bless Her for being so understanding & supportive. She truely is an Angel. I wish them both the best of everything in life & look forward to his next tour.

  • What an extremely humble man.

The so called critics would do well to learn from his humility

Well done Sir Paul Potts and one day it will be

  • Paul Potts, you are an amazing man and the way you sing will continue to captivate the entire world. I love your singing and I hope that someday I will see you in person :)

  • A note to all the negative critics: Before Potts most didn't give a dam about Opera, mainly me. He introduced me to what music is really about. If the critics don't really want more customers then too bad, this dude blew the door down, and there there waiting for more.

  • what amazes me is the fact that mr potts was able to introduce, educate and communicate opera even up to the masses--esp for someone like me who b4 wont even bother to listen to it at all...yet the critics from the so called "elite" critics of opera got nothing to do but to badly criticize the way mr potts perform opera which they claim as not-an-opera singing at all..

  • I spit in the eye of every critic who can't cope with his or her jealousy of this naturally talented rough diamond, and I wish Paul a lot of joy and success in his musical career.

  • @ianpaulianpaul - I know I prefer Paul Potts' style of voice over that of some renowned opera singers I know. Maybe the snobs just miss Luciano Pavarotti's style of vibrato and coloratura - which I find overwhelming after a while. I I could listen to Paul all day.

  • As as an American, unfortunately, our society focuses upon the superficial.

Here is Mr. Potts! A humble, gifted, and nice man who has been blessed with a voice but from God.

American talent scouts should take a trip to Great Britain, and learn from our mother country!

God bless Mr. Potts and the Brits that gave him to us.!

  • You're a jerk! Plain and simple!

  • manfromji, this suma critic appears regularly on the main BGT video (the one with the 41 million-plus hits). I always think of him as the guy who lives in the basement of a big mansion where they give a lot of parties upstairs. He can hear the music and hear the laughter, but he can never be a part of it. Suma is angry, jealous and bitter and will never hit any of the high notes that Paul has attained.

  • We know already he's not a professional opera singer get off the guys back already.

    And stop obsessing over it.

The fact the man comes from humble background and still has as much voice as he does is part of his appeal.

With the faults he makes , he might still improve now that he has all this money and could fully concentrate on training his voice.

  • I love it. Look at the number of sopranos supporing Paul Potts' voice. And he commanded all voices. Love this series. Love the success story of P. Potts.

  • Loved the 5 part series that showed more of behind the scene with Paul Potts. I have to admit. After seeing the shows on You Tube I, myself, bought a copy of his CD and Loved it.

  • Que voz tan mas privilegiada q hermozo carisma super humilde, sincero y sobre todo talentoso. Que Dios te Bendiga Paul! y a tu esposa tambien, pues ella ha de estar super orgullosa de tener un hombre como tu.

  • Mister Paul Potts: you are the classical literary hero in this day and age. I tip my hat to you sir. By royal command indeed: the flip of a coin. I await the day you are being knighted, because you deserve it. And this is a comment by a Dutch republican. ;-)

  • Simon is a good person.

  • Your Prime Minister is such a class act. What a lovely person. And to take the time to honor and give respect to P. Potts. Lovely. Really enjoy this little documentary.

  • yea its a shame he's part of the NWO

  • if he gets some serious training he would be one of the best cauz he has sooooo much potential i would hate to see it go to waste

  • Great opera evokes emotion and passion. Paul does that. Beautiful.

  • Paul is brilliant however if he does want to kick serious ass (even moreso) he must get classical training. He wont need much - his high C is absolutely beautiful and he holds it well. He has such great potential.

  • The truth is that he really messed the lyrics of nella fantasia...he's obviously nervous about the performance...i saw him singing in the backstage and he's struggling with the words...

  • Ya lo he visto muchas veces y en todas me queda una escencia de paz...disfruto de su logro...se lo merece....

  • Amazing!!!!

From Puerto Rico, I wish you the best forever.

  • wow...so funny if he didn't visit Italy, he sings in italian also...I love Tuscany

  • I be very emossional to saw the complete documentary; Paul Potts you are the best example to the progress.... I saw all your videos and I can't stop watching ich one, thanks for your inspiration; and I await write good, I'm from Bolivia (spanish) live in Orlando, Fl USA (english)

  • Paul and your lovely beautifull wife, HAVE A CHILD!!!! Bring one more talent!!

  • this guy is awsome i cant wait to show him to my brother when he comes back from afganistan...

  • That was awesome, parts 1 - 5 .. Thanks so much for posting these.

  • I'm Italian and I love his Voice.

    Everytime I got goose bump.

Thank you Paul for all the emotions.

  • im italian too, and i love him and his voice!!!!! why they don't sell his album in Italy??? I would buy it! My friends in Russia love him too! Come on! Bring him to the rest of the world, we are ready!!!!!!

  • ....and I love italian men...Im ready! LOL...Did Paul visit Italy?

  • yeah, italians men are very cute! i think in Italy nobody knows about him yet. For sure he didn't come.

  • I am lucky enough to have seen this man twice in live concerts! I have his cd One Chance, I will buy every cd he puts out in the future, and will not hesitate to see him live again, if I have the chance! And i am sure I am not the only one to do so! I can only feel sorry for those who feel the need to leave hateful comments on Pauls vids!

  • I look at the wonderful comments posted and I cry. I have watched many of Paul's videos so many times.

Paul has put a mark on my heart also.

I was so very lucky to see him in concert in March in Tampa FL. Second row. A thrill of a lifetime.

  • All of this could not have happened to a more worthy human being. Amanda's "Diamond in the Rough" has certainly shown (and shown up) all the Rupert Christiansen's and opera critics-at-large that we common folk enjoy hearing beautiful voices from beautiful people. Paul Potts deserves everything he is enjoying now. From California, our family wishes him and wife happiness and success forever.

  • You have put a mark on my heart Mr. Potts, incredible achievement!

  • destiny is really strange. wow

  • The success of Paul Potts is one of the best things, I've ever seen in television. No, actually it is the best thing!

I'm from german and heard of him only because of a new publicity of the Telekom. I watched the videos about Paul over and over again the last days and I always got tears in my eyes.

What a deserved success. What a great and wonderful talent!

Most respectfully I bow in front of you, Paul!

  • wow i love how they made the sound go all fuzzy after his performance. almost anyone will know that's what happens after something incredibly nervewracking, and probably even more so with Paul! how sweet was simon, he looked like he was going to cry!

  • Very touching ending.

I watched this full screen. To the right of the volume control on the video itself is a box with a lighter grey color in the upper left corner.

Click on that and you can watch in that manner.

  • The ending is so touching.

  • Paul! You really are the One and Only! It will be many years,if ever, before some one can even think of copying you or your wonderful, breathtaking voice. So looking forward to see you live for the SECOND time in my country. Thank you to the person who put this wonderful documentary on yotube!

  • I love, love, love the honor he shows to Her Majesty the Queen. The judging panel was perfunctory, having seen a longer segment elsewhere. But Paul genuinely respects his Queen. Just lovely to see.

And "Isn't that Downing Street?" What are we doing here?" Well, Paul, being recognized as a British ambassador to the world -- that's what!

Amazing Paul, you WERE born to do this. And I join the millions who love what you enjoy doing. Thanks.

  • Woooohoooo!

  • Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! ^_~
