It would cool if the film was interactive, everyone would have like a DS/controller or something and the first person in the audience to solve the puzzle should get a prize and thus the story continues until the next puzzle props up. Of course if the audience were all really rubbish at puzzles you'd be screwed and never get to finish the film.

What is with this "Chonilogical Order" thing? The movie will be an original story (they do that in Anime sometimes) separate from the games. It will take place after the 4th game which will come out next month in Japan only so far. (Meaning that they didn't confirm release dates for other parts of the world yet.)

The second and third games (they are prequels) take place AFTER the Eternal Diva movie. The Specter's Flute (prequel number one) takes place BEFORE the movie. Its confusing, but I hope I explained it well....

Well, thats the confusing part. I know for a fact that the movie is part of the prequels, but seeing Chelmey and Flora..... I presume that the movie takes place during two time periods. It will start right after Specter's Flute (Layton 1), so the movie will be Layton 1.5, and I think the case goes cold, and will continue sometime after Diabolical Box.

No, I truly think that the beginning starts in the present after Curious Village. Then somehow Layton or Luke tells Flora a story about a case that appeared a couple of years ago. That way it would make sense on why Flora appeares in the movie, but not in the case.

i understood that specters (i have heard it called devils) flute is the first in the series (now) and yes you did explain it well i did not think of it that way. i cant wait to see how this turns out and if it can even be fully translated due to the difference in puzzles going from eastern to western markets or if aspects will have to be changed.
