please tell me where this is! I am going to the Gorge next week and this is the ideal place i want to camp, right by the red river where i can swim at a cool place like this! It is just me going and i respect the land, would never litter or leave my tracks! If you could send me the loc through a message i would be so utterly greatful! It would make my trip so much better, i wont tell anyone where its at.
Look on a RRG map for the Sheltowee Trace foot bridge and the nearby parking lot also on the river. It's right in between the two and very much visited by everyone so you can't miss it. Park in the parking lot and then it's a short (1/4 mile?) hike to the rock and rope swing. Often the rope is cut down by rangers due to the "danger." But it's a blast nonetheless. If you use the bridge to hike to the non-road side of the river there are some unofficial camping spots there. Have fun and LNT!
