1.) America, sadly, is no longer the be-all-and-all of the world. That's just the way it is these days.
2.) If that is true, that they scripted this because of the Benoit murder-suicide, that's pretty sick, but not as bad as some of the inspirations the people at Law and Order come up with.
3.) Walton Goggins was the best actor in that series, hands down!
4.) I'm sure this was especially hard for him to pull off this scene.
If this was made up, it would've made for some excellent dramatic television (horrible, but story wise, well written). But the fact that they flat out admitted that Chris Benoit's murder/suicide inspired it makes me sick.
although i can't forgive shane for killing lemansky, i too wanted shane caught but not like this. i feel sorry for him and his family but they both brought it on themselves. trying to run and hide. shane should of turned himself in, in the first place however if they didn't get robbed by the mexicans for the 100k there would of been a better ending
I hate dubbed TV-shows, subtitles is a way better choice than dub, it's less expensive with subtitles and you get to know how to use languages better in that way, no wonder why so many people from different countries are bad at both speaking and writing in english..
@Cl0akrat I agree, but subtitles wouldn't help people learn a language unless they really wanted to. I've seen both French and Russian films with subtitles and cant speak hardly any French or Russian because that's not why I wanted to see the films. You say it like everyone should be able to speak fluent English.
@AndyJ1992 No, I understand that it won't be able to make you speak a language fluently ._. That's not the point I'm trying to prove out. Anyhow, subtitles will help you very much because each time you watch a movie with subs your brain reacts to the subtitles relation to what they are saying in the movie. It will obviously faciliate learning a new language for you if you have been watching many movies from a country with subs.............
@latinasdoitbetter1 Oh please, the amount of shit America copies from other countries and brands as its own is ridiculous. The Shield was an amazing show, but that show is in the field of crap that is American TV, America rarely creates very good shows.
@latinasdoitbetter1 You mean the past? Your worse than the people who think they're good because they support a team or person that has achieved something.
Look at America at the moment, it's falling to pieces.
Oh and Muslims taking over France? Didn't alot of 'Americans' fail to stop a Mosque being built near Ground Zero?
@Tomkhins yeah they are. i think we have more good shows than ever on now.. Oh, Dexter and The Walking Dead are great as well. HBO's whole sunday line up is good, as well as comedy weds on abc and on nbc on thursdays.

From what I heard, The Shield did the Shane and family thing right after the Benoit family thing
FranchiseSHR 2 months ago
@FranchiseSHR They didn't do it right after. The Benoit incident was in 2007. The series finale of The Shield was in 2008. There's a year difference.

@terrorfestival Same thing though, they had to clear it past Vince and the police to be allowed to use the incidence.

walton goggins wife committed suicide during the making of this show, can only imagine how hard this was on him to film this scene.
amazing show

The most moving scene ever in crime drama. Goggins was arguably the best actor in the shield.

I always suspected Shane would go out like this. (The suicide part, not killing off his family as well.)

@latinasdoitbetter1 The French aren't inferior though. I'm British and I could easily say that Americans are inferior to us, but I don't.

@latinasdoitbetter1 ... It's really not, I'd say the most dominant country in the world right now is China, easily.
And yes UK is falling apart, as is every other 'dominant' country as you'd call them, which includes America.
And when Americans call their country free I always laugh, seen Occupy Wall Street so far?
