If someone went to go steel your rims, would the proximity go off or dose it not work for the rims area?

Viper claims there is a 1 mile range. I have a 5901 with the antenna placed at the highest point on the vehicle however 1/4 mile range will be more accurate on the city or suburb area. Maybe possible in a desserted area where there are no buildings or powerlines. Besides these ranges incovenience the alarm/ Remotestart is bad ass overall.

hi ! i did ask you about the chirp a year ago today i did the chirp on my 3rd car, all thanks to you!!! so i wonder if there is any way to get the same chirp with other (siren/speaker) whatever you call it, i have a new viper and i get the chirp already but there was a old alarm on the truck, so i wonder if i could use the speaker and have 2 at the same time?? also if you need a pic of the interior of the speaker where all the wires are, please let me know, but this doesn't have j1 or so,

It's possible to bypass that, the modules are around $100. Go somewhere pro they will be able to do it.

open up the siren and clip the wires J1-J4. The wires are silver and looks like staples.

hold down the fuction button for about 10 sec. and it will eneter the setup menu, where you can change alot of features, including the sensivity of the proximity sensors if you have them (i have them and are well worth the extra $100)..

definitely not 1 mile but that is because there are trees, buildings, and all sorts of interference.

i have the same system, 1mile 2 way, and i have tested it, and it does work 1 mile if there arent many buildings around..also i tested it in many department stores, including walmart, example, i was all the way in the back and had full control of the system, and you know how big walmart is!..it truely is the best system out there...hands down!!

@dannytrieu1000 yes, he has the alarm off on the car, but it normally goes off on the car and the remote, or you can silent arm and disarm the car, etc, and enable and disable the remote alarm, so it just vibrates, etc.

do you mean the alarm sound from my car? I opened up the siren casing and snipped wires J1-J4. (it has to be a dei soft chirp siren, i don't know if it will work with other sirens)

But what i dont know is how you are able to hear the siren thru the 2-way remote? i dont see an option for that anywhere, mine just beeps once when the shock or other sensor goes off. the full alarm is heard from the car though but not the remote, any thoughts?

car alarm is only the last 2 siren tones of the 6, and it also goes off with my factory horn honk. and nah i didn't do the install so can't answer that. i'll get a vid 4 u up real soon.

well got the remote to show the sensor + and -

but sensor still won't pick up

i go from 4-14 and backward and for some reason its like its not there. someone sub jested adding a sensor to the system

make sure the system is disarmed an unlocked first. Hold f until you hear the 2nd long beep. Then scroll up or down using aux or remote start icon until you reach sensor adjust. push f to enter and the alarm siren should give a short chirp. The pager will also display sensor adjust.

what about the shock sensor, for some reason mine does not pick up and i was told to adjust it. however when the remote shows sensor it does not tell me when adjusting.

once at the shock sensor mode i press F and it just won't move when i press aux,remote start key.
