  • Look again, douchebag.

  • wow people really don't think that was a travel?

  • no travel

  • you are insane if you think this is anything but a blocking foul with no travel....it is clearly not a charge so if you think that then you should have your opinion on basketball calls taken away from you.

  • Terrible ... basically took his own on court pilgrimage to Mecca and back

  • it was a charge but no foul. he dribbles, jump stops/charges, pivots then dunks.

  • @bball8994 Do you play basketball? I don't think so. He took three steps then jump stopped. 4 steps. And he didn't even charge.

  • @Lakerguy1000 ...did you not see him dribble? though it still is traveling, after you jump stop you cant pivot, i found that out sometime in the last year lol. though he definitely didnt travel until the pivot

  • @Lakerguy1000 actually i agree with you, it was more of a flop than a charge. i have no idea what i was thinking that day lol, i dont even remember watching this though

  • @bball8994 But do you play basketball?

  • @Lakerguy1000 yeah im going into my senior year of varsity bball

  • Not a travel he took 2 steps then took a pro-hop, then dunked it down

  • nice. he travelled twice. if you catch the ball and take that extra step you got to shoot.

  • @kaviraj Thank you. A lot of people don't know how to play basketball and say it wasn't a travel. At least someone knows. xD

  • someone was at the lebron james skills academy last summer

  • he didnt walk that was a hop step altough when he faked he was gonna jump he moved his other foot to dunk that was a travel you cant move your feet after a hop step

  • @DemonXY2J Do you play basketball? I don't think so. He took three steps then jump stopped. 4 steps.

  • @Lakerguy1000 Wait what???? He took three steps and jumped? 4 steps? But you just said he took 3 steps LOL. You are not making sense at all LOL. WTF? I dont play ball? LOL you are just a guy hiding behind a computer screen you cant see what im doing LOL unless you stalk me via sattlelite the DAMN brah

  • @DemonXY2J I play basketball so i know ok. Three steps is three right. Then a jump stop is four. Do you get it now. BTW, your only allowed to take two steps for a layup.

  • @Lakerguy1000 LOL a jump stop is four. WHAT? he have four legs now? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You need to work on your explainations LOL

  • @DemonXY2J OK so if you don't play basketball why are you thinking your so smart. I'm NOT going to explain it again douchebag.

  • @Lakerguy1000 HAHAHHAAHAHHAHAAH

  • Comment removed

  • jump stopping is pretty common in all basketball games, if someone called that on my in one of my games i'd tell them to go fuck themselves

  • he traveled then charged

  • lol

  • mike Patrick hates Duke and Dickie v just loves the acc and loves to talk

  • you kidding me? Mike Patrick is obsessed with Duke. You can ever hear it at the end of the video when he says, "Oh, I think that's a flop!" Obviously talking about the MD player who tried to take a charge.

  • idiots

  • he traveled after the pass he didn't dribble before he stepped

  • and if you want, go look at the rules... after you jump step, if you are going to pick up a pivot foot, you either have to shoot or pass. he did neither. he pivoted, put down his foot, then pivoted again... then jumped to dunk.

    travel

  • Listen to Dukie V and Mike Patrick defending their beloved Blue Devils. Man, it can't be ESPN without those two morons.

  • I hate duke- but that was no travel. it's called a PIVOT- say it with me kids- PIVOT

  • he took TWO STEPS, then he JUMP STOPPED, then he PIVOTED. thats how many steps? 4? 5?

    say it with me... TRAVEL.

  • @tywonellington Thank you. At least someone knows how to play basketball.

  • it aint no travel

  • that was not travel he took a jumpstop the moved his pivot and shot

  • he traveled when he got it.

  • no sry but if u follow bbal he did a jumpstop, wich is legal, then he lost his drible so he cud only shoot or pass, but he pivoted then shot

  • he took two steps before he even jump stopped!

  • imma try that in my game this friday and see if they call it lmao

  • Travel 1: at the top of the key when his left pivot foot (at the 3pt line)is lifted before the ball is dribbled.

Travel 2: he picks the ball up after the dribble when, again, his left is established as the pivot, before the supposed jump stop, and then sets his left foot down again at the side of the defender.

    ...then the charge.

The pivot is not allowed off the floor to start a dribble and is not allowed back onto the floor during a shot attempt...ever.

  • The first one, he never established a pivot foot, so it can't be a travel.

The second one, it isnt a travel, you can pivot after a jump stop.

  • When in possession of the ball in contact with the floor the player has a pivot foot. Read the rule book. I think you will get more out of the game if you do.

Missed calls happen(three is hard to take) but what is wrong with the game is deliberately not enforcing rules, especially charges and displacing the post defender. BAD refs will tell you the defender was SWAYING into the offensive player, which is a rationalization for rewarding sloppy offense and penalizing solid defence.

  • It's a travel. Once you jumpstop and land on both feet, you can't pivot. I don't see a double dribble.

  • i dont know im a bball nut AND i HATE dook and that wznt a travel..that rule iz only 4 da nba

  • Double dribble too

  • You cant pivot after a pro-hop, which btw was outlawed in the NBA because it is traveling

  • not being able to pivot is not even a rule, you're just making stuff up

  • he pro-hopped u fkn hater

  • travel and charge, and neither called

  • it was not a travel he did a jump stop then did a couple of steps wit one foot which was his pivot foot and he didn't lift the foot he planted part of it was still touching the court. All in all it was NOT A TRAVEL

  • youre an idiot.... u probably have never played bball in ur life... its clearly a travel

  • jump stop; pivot = no travel

  • @natemup Do you play basketball? I don't think so. He took three steps then jump stopped. 4 steps.

  • @Lakerguy1000 Three?! HA! Yes, I do play actually, and because the steps taken while gathering the ball don't count, he took ONE step after the last dribble, and jump-stopped (pro-hopped), after which I believe he is afforded a pivot, which he used legally. #bangout

  • That is a super travel. He caught the ball, took a step, then lifted up the foot that he planted on that step, and dribbled.

  • can you do a jump stop and then pivot?

  • nope

  • Lots of people (including refs) like to call travels just because the guy looks a little awkward before he starts dribbling.

But you can't travel before one of your feet even touches the ground. He catches the ball with his right foot in the air, put his right foot down, and lifts the left. Not only is this not a travel, but he could put his left foot back on the floor, and use THAT foot as the pivot!

Similarly, after the jump stop, he can use either foot as the pivot.

    No travel.

  • he traveled before dribbling the ball.....anyways duke sucks, none of their players really do good in the pros anyways....

  • he jump stopped then made his left foot a pivot foot. not a travel.

  • yea u right its just that he took a step and then hopstepped it a travel but wat ur were talking bout isnt it a travel

  • he didnt walk under the basket, he walked as soon as he got the ball!

  • yep ur right

  • I hate Duke as much as the next guy but he kept his pivot foot, no travel.

  • And since it's Duke, at Duke, it wasn't called - what a surprise

  • Is that the only reason you other ACC schools have for Dukes success. I've got a question, did you see how badly Duke was screwed at Wake Forest. If Duke played their best game, they still probably couldn't have won.

  • 4 steps after he stopped dribbling = travel

  • He kept his pivot foot planted. So if he took four steps with one foot, it's not a travel.

  • That was a jump shot, where you land on both feet, then use another foot to establish a pivot foot.

  • he actually traveled on the catch and prohop, but watever ill let u guys do the arguing.

  • no travel but duke still sucks

  • ? after he did a jump stop he lifted his pifit foot which is both since he already took a step before the jump stop

  • thats not a walk he hop stepped then put a foot forward. he never moved his pivot. dicky is fucking blind. and i hate duke. that shows you. this is not a walk at all, you dont gotta go straight up after a hop step, and if you dont lift your pivot that is legal

  • They don't call it in the NBA. Why should they call it in college?

  • yep travel, u gotta go up IMMEDIATELY after pro hopping

  • u don't have to go up immediately after you jump stop ( or pro hop)

  • its called the hop step and no you don't have to go up immediately unless you already took two steps

  • You can not take another step after a jump stop because it considered two steps. You do not have an established pivot foot.

  • no travel you get one step after jump stop even announcer said it was no travel

  • wtf??

  • that was a walk but dukes still good

  • DUKE SUCKS!!!!!!!!

  • he's shuffling his feet after the pro hop

  • yea thats not just a travel, thats a fuckin tour!!

  • thats not a travel..

  • u have to immediately shoot or pass u cant just stand there after pro hopping

  • 1 step jumpstop pivit foot. wtf u can do that whats the prblm here?

even the announcers siad good no call

  • You mean even dickie v? the guy who sucks coach k and tom izzo's nuts at the SAME time?

  • after a jump stop you have two options: 1. shoot 2. pass you cannot take another step, the jump stop counts as two steps already, as a matter of fact you have to land both feet simultaneously too, so it was a travel

  • im not a doctor or anything, but im pretty sure a pro hop counts as your two steps, and after the pro hop you have to either shoot or pass. you can't stand there and pivot around and then jump.

  • nope it wuz a good no call..he pro hopped and didnt move his pivot, the defender jss kinda flopped big time lol

  • McWalksalot has done worse

  • thats not a walk its a pro hop i do it in my bball league all the time and he never moves his left foot afterwards

  • are you serious??? of course it's a travel. he took his pro hop, and then pivoted twice!

you have to hop, THEN JUMP! you can't hop, then take more steps.

  • nah he didnt travel cuz he didnt move his pivot foot, watch his left foot the whole time after he takes his pro-hop, it doesn't move at all

  • did he ever move his left foot

  • ive seen worse walks not called

  • not feeling mcroberts dick vitale and the other announcers be on his pipe . he isnt even the best on team my nigga demarcus is . duke wudnt be shit if demarcus wasnt there. he did travel refs call it now and then . he took a big step with his right foot when he got the rock

  • Dukie V and Mike Patrick sucking Duke's dick yet again. It's sad, really. Oh and he traveled, took about 3 steps.

  • If your pivot slides on the floor, it's a travel. Didn't Patrick say at the end "I think that's a walk." At least he realises it this time, other times it's like it doesn't even happen.

  • wow thats not a travel

  • The funniest part is at the end when Mike Patrick says "that's a flop." How ironic he's talking about an opponent flopping when Duke invented the flop.

  • Its a travel because he skips down the lane idiot

  • he takes his first step than he jump stops and takes another pivit (I think that's how you spell it). That's a travel

  • In the replay: the last dribble bounce is at 0:11. Has it in both hands at 0:12. At 0:13 BOTH feet move forward as he nearly falls over, then he begins to pivot with his left planted. Not quite a walk, but definitely traveling.

  • i agree with dukefan75. no walk theree.

  • He travelled twice. he took 3 steps before his first dribble hit the floor. Then he took four steps after he picked it up. He had already trabvelled twice before he got to your "pivot foot" which was his third step on his second travel.

  • How is that a walk?

His left pivot foot doesn't move.

  • There's a lot of travelling not getting called in the NCAA these days. McRoberts isn't nearly the worst offender. You take what they give you.

  • hey dook, cya sunday
