  • Great video

  • Hey there. you've got some good shots. what settings did u have your camera on and what programs did you use to import, render etc? also, if you know, what kind of processor and graphics card do you have on your computer? thanks.

  • Looks great!

  • Hi. What did you use to convert the video to a format that you can upload to YouTube without diminishing quality? Thank you!

  • @rickakated10 Sony Vegas 8

  • each time i try it says that i need certain hardware.

  • may be there is some driver coming with your camera and you need to install it :-)

  • how did you transfer the data from the inner harddrive to your comp? Idk how to

  • USB and copy the files

  • I just got this camera and I have a few questions. When I get the footage from that software that was included..will is still be in HD if I convert to mpeg? And.. are there any other ways to get the footage from the camera to pc?

  • I've never used the included software. I downloand the files to the PC and then edit with Sony Vegas

  • do you export the raw video and upload it to youtube directly? What video export settings do you use? thanks

  • What where your rendering settings on vegas for this?

  • if HD it will be avchd if SDef it will ne mpeg2

  • i want a hd camcorder but am still leery of avchd because of my computers processing power. i also like the idea of having the video on and sd card for easier transfer, the question is...what format is it saved in on the sd card?? was also thinking i could shoot in std. def? until my computers catch up to the demands of avchd editing??

  • yes you could shoot in Standard Definition and to edit the video with your PC when you get faster PC you could swithc to HD ;))

  • i have the T8100 w/ 4g RAM but i fear that it would be too taxing.

what format is the video saved to on the SD card?

  • I read that Intel Core duo 2.26 with 2 GB ram sufficient, what matter more is the video card

  • Absolutely true

  • I have a 2 gb ram and things are pretty smooth at my end :)))))

  • really nice `~

  • Okay I need professional opinions here!

I recently had to trade in my hv20 for an Hf20.

I thought id start with that because i wanted you all to know i dont have this camera by choice. lol. but hers the situation. I'm currently filming a production on the hf20 that is going to be shown at my local theater. my assumption is that the clarity wont stand a chance against the size of the screen. anybody know how I can get the picture onto the big screen at the highest quality?

  • I would encode 1280x720 WMV and will play it from laptop ;)

  • great camera work. the zoom on the water sparkles was nice!!

  • Wow! That's a really nice cam-corder.

  • Why is the video not smoothy in HQ? HAs the videocamera a problem?

  • NO, when I watch it, everything is fine ;)

  • It's probably your internet connection

  • hey, what's this song ?

  • beyond time ? haha think so

  • What Format does It Record In?

  • Is This Compatible with mac?

  • I think trhat the only difference is the storage Flash vs HDD

  • Thanks for sharing this. I'm considering getting this after it is released here in the U.S. in April. The color capture seems to have fairly improved. Is this camera any different from the HG20/ 21 series in terms of color capture? I'd like to know. Otherwise, I'll just settle for an HG20. Thanks.

  • is this HF20 much different to the hf10

  • Yes and No ;)

    more memory and better video

  • Good job mate!I'm impressed. :)
