I was part of the Penn State Chorus and we performed this in 1965 if I remember correctly.  I still know the bass part of this wonderful piece

Could you please tell us where and when this was recorded. I am guessing early 1990's but have no idea which church.

Davis knows the whole range of this work, far more than just the obvious grandeur. He coaxes the most extraordinary tender and delicate music from a collosus.
